Location: NE Ohio | Your computer has what is called cookies. It holds the information that you use, and may even hold the password and log in data.
I know mine keeps my own data for future use. this is so I never have to type in my information unless I clear my cache and cookies when I clean out my PC files, at which then i have to re-load all my information.
There is a clear cookies option if you log out, when you go to log in again, click on the clear cookies button, which will clear your cookies for you which I have used when I had issues with logging in and it worked. If you use Windows XP, You can also go to: Start, then Program files, then Accessories, then system tools, and click on Disk Cleanup. You will have options in there to clean your cache or cookies.
Cookies are meant to be a way to help those who come a lot, so they don't have to keep logging in, but the info is also kept private. No person, or moderator can see this information, because it's stored on your own PC, not the forums.
It may be wise to log out when leaving the forum if it appears as if you are on. I rarely see you on, so I don't think it's leaving you always on.
I hope this helps~
