My offering is not one of my own, but – well, see for yourself. With love – Aquarius REFLECTIONS ON TIME Have you ever considered that: There is only now, That yesterday and today are an illusion? The past we call history; The future will always be a mystery; And this moment of here and now is a gift. Could that be why we call it the present?

Trumpets are sounding and mission bells calling: We are there already, though many still do not yet know. Member Posts: 40 ![]() Location: Wrocester Mass | Thoughts or criticism please? Downward Spiral And down she went, on that wednesday morning, sliding with a smile like, morning glories. Gleeful and happy Arms reaching out to the sky, as she plummets head first, and dives, into the chaos and rain, of who to blame. It's a new time, but not quite the same It's a game, where i'm stuck, and have to feign, ignorance, but i find it strange, her eyes are the color of deception as she smiles, making my heart bleed, filling my stomach with bile. I reach out to catch her, as she spins, but the thought of letting me in fills her with burning, from within, and crumbles her soul to dust, as we misplay these hands of trust. She's blind to see, the true story, and fails to notice, that i, subliminally, know it all, but i won't slip, and fall, into this abyss of darkness, where the white crow cawes. We were in Lover's Lane, but she took that off-ramp, that was only one way. And now I'm running along, against the current, crying and screaming into the turrent, of danger, but she's smiling, and I'll wager: That she can't see this isn't a slide, it isn't a bone, or joyride, It's something greater, something in her, a downhill spiral, but i know it's true God give me strngth, to see it through. and Devil back off or I'll destroy you. Because I am power, and i can bring disease, you think it's hard now, well you wouldn't believe, what i can give and what i can take, what i can create and what i can break. Sometimes the only way to save a soul, is to destroy another, even if it's wise and old. I will rot your body and possess your mind, break your faith and leave you blind. If you ever wanna walk this world again, you better find another place to sell your sin, Because I'm a plague with no cure, I will take your soul and make it pure. I'll cleanse and I'll be, what sets your sould free, so if you wanna keep, your immortality, you better change your name, and forfeit this game, Or vengence and fire i will reign down with righteouss power and a wrath of fury and destroy your perfect hell, and don't worry, I'll take what's mine and save you for last, Your name will be forgotten, You'll be the past...

The rest can be offered, if not known, written by a Canadian woman, great comfort to me whwn my father died, 2005 .. Otherwise, a Zen koan, translated (source unknown) 'Inch, time, foot, gem This moment will not come again' Best Paul

PhD Alumni Posts: 4414 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: United Kingdom | Ongoingbattle wondered if I might post some poetry on here. I have put some of my stuff onto a rather poor blogspot, which shuld be accessible on http://pilgrimimages.blogspot.com But if that doesn't work, as sometimes it doesnt seem to, maybe someone might let me know and if it's easier I'll put some directly onto this site. On reflection, it might be easier for folk to just post one here now.... the following was written after my father died in 2005 (before I encountered UMS) POEMS OF MISSING 1. The world is unfurled to us Through our goodbyes Each farewell an eternity Of a death already here Our only unique certainty Sunrise begets sunset 2. If time could stand still If we could go back If the rainbow were black If the hill wore a veil If gaol was release If the fire did not burn If the tide did not turn If please, you had not died 3. I never told you that I loved you I never told you that I cared I never thought how I loved you I never thought I cared I barely touched or held you I barely talked to you at all I never knew the depth of longing I would feel when you had gone I never knew I’d cry for you I never knew you would die I did not know how I’d miss you I barely knew you at all 4. One day we may Be ghosts, were we ever Lucky and others Not. Now birth, then Memory of tomorrow Yesterday and never 5. One day we may be angels: Fantastic futures for tales that were, But will not be again. Only what can Be drawn now, in the hearts And minds of others Might outlast a die already cast

PhD Alumni Posts: 4414 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: United Kingdom | NothingEverything - your first line reminded me of 'The Man with the Blue Guitar' by, I think, Walalce Stevens - which at this exact moment I cannot remember, although I referred to it in another post somewhere. It's evoked by the Picasso painting. A key line is something like, 'Play they said, a tune, beyond us far Things (?the truth is?) are changed upon the blue guitar Agree with your metaphysical sentiments !

PhD Alumni Posts: 4414 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: United Kingdom | Dear All Researched this poem and the first stanza, by Wallace Stevens, is as follows: The man bent over his guitar, A shearsman of sorts. The day was green. They said, "You have a blue guitar, You do not play things as they are." The man replied, "Things as they are Are changed upon the blue guitar." And they said then, "But play, you must, A tune beyond us, yet ourselves, A tune upon the blue guitar Of things exactly as they are." It used to be one of the favourite poems of a long deceased Anglican Fransiscan monk dear friend of mine.

PhD Alumni Posts: 4414 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: United Kingdom | Ongoingbattle - it was a tune that came with the poem, from my head, whilst playing a guitar, in c.1977. I would happily post it/paste it, but since my meditation tape got lost on its way to ums, I am stuck there. Nice of you to be interested, i must say.
