PhD Alumni Posts: 1882 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: NE Ohio | I think the forum needs some kind of D&C (dust and clean) or optimized, or server check. It is experiencing problems, while double posts are happening because the server times out and say's error, yet it does post. -It's not just me, it's nearly everyone that is posting, which tells me the server may be experiencing clutter that bogs down or they are too busy to handle. Since I am not a tech person, i have no idea how one can clean out or defrag the server space. So if anyone one who does the admin here can find out what could be causing such problems that have been going on now for about a month. It would be great to get things back to normal. Just letting someone know.... Thanks so much for anyone that can look into this matter. Blessings~

We might not hear for awhile! In the meantime, I received and recorded the error message we are getting and just maybe I can go in as the Administrator and change the "time out" parameters. I wll have to try this from home as I left the error message there. When the error message pops up, one can click the backspace arrow button, click on "Forums" and it will not double-post. Also, as Moderators we can delete duplicate posts, but perhaps anyone can delete their own posts.

I run a board as administrator, but it's pretty basic. I had one similar to this one and got spammed so bad, i just closed it. I am so glad we are not bombarded with spam. Lets cross our fingers. Do what you can, It's all appreciated. HUGS

Alumni Posts: 486 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: California | Hi Jill, I went in as Administrator but did not find any words or options that match the error message "specify a new value for the property server. Script time out or change the value in the IIS administrator tools" So it looks like we will wait for awhile longer. There is one more person at work who is a bit of a computer genius and he might be able to help, maybe on Monday.
