She wants cheap insurance, but I had to explain that if she scratches it the insurance company can take it if in their assessment it exceeds the deductible plus insured value, claiming it is a write off. That actually happened to a friend's Maserati he got in a bargain from his father's car dealership. Because of the rarity, they really hammered him and wrote off the car, taking it. This sounds a lot like that. Here is a similar car.

PhD Alumni Posts: 4414 Location: United Kingdom | That's how the British fooled the Nazis and enabled the D-Day landings to go ahead ... a complete fictionalised regiment was created, along with cardboard (or maybe wooden) tanks, and mock up air fields, which would go to convince the Nazis that the British and Americans had more troops/weapons than they had and were going to launch the D-Day assault from one place, when in fact it was from another ... the plan worked too ... And does anybody remember how the movie El Cid (with Charlton Heston) ended ... ? That also was meant to be based on fact .... cheers Paul | ||
