Expert Posts: 2118 ![]() ![]() Location: The Heart of Space | Silly me thought it might be different to have a thread that is fueled by quick, random, jottings about nothing, everything, or anything. I will start by saying......
Alphred Omega ( ya gotta love that guy, worms and all) posted some interesting stuff concerning Lyme disease...but for the life of me I can't recall under what thread it is.....anybody know?

Alumni Posts: 534 ![]() ![]() | Thanks, you guys. That's my wordpress "blog" in my signature...I mostly use it to keep my favorite links where I can find them. I'm not much of a blogger...haha .My reading site is in the "WWW" box below the signature. Jill I was looking at your posts earlier and thought I'd add my "credentials" and things like you have done. TY for the inspiration. I think it's helpful if we all know what each other does. I like the American Tarot Association. I've been a member since 2009 if memory serves correctly. I volunteer at their Free Tarot Network. Every reader there has to go through the mentoring process before they let them read alone(unsupervised). It's just one card readings requested from the general public and they are free. They also have a Free Reading Netwrok which offers 3 card readings to the general public, but I don't do that yet. The price to join the ATA is $25 per year (or less if you sign up for more than one year at a time.) You don't have to be a volunteer reader to join the ATA- it's just one of the things they offer and I quite like doing it. They give you a nice certificate to download to show you are a member, but mainly I agree with their code of ethics and put that on my reading website and have it printed out for when I do in person, face to face readings. There are quite a few benefits to joining the ATA. They send quarterly newsletters and there have been times they have assisted Tarot Readers with difficult issues in the public. They are really trying to bring a good name to Tarot Readers and dispel some of the negativity that is associated with readers due to the scam artists, etc. I don't see a lot of interaction between members, though. I think I went way off topic. If you have any questions about the ATA feel free to ask. Edited by Disa 4/18/2016 5:40 PM

PhD Alumni Posts: 1882 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: NE Ohio | Hello Disa, I will look into it honestly. I don't care if they want to supervise me first... it just means they don't let just anyone do it, which wasn't my point... ha , i mean those who get on there just to goof off without good intent to really read. I think i will join up. It usually takes someone else i know to be involved for me to actually do it as well, because of the scam stuff, so i am glad you let me know. Good Stuff! I actually teach Tarot and have classes myself and have for years. I have read cards since 80's, when i was a teen. I got serious after i had my kids and drove to take classes. I read very easily... the cards talk to me. I hope to see ya there too. Yeah, i think utilizing the signature portion is a great idea for those who want to show their metaphysical info, because it is an option for people to not view signatures. So if someone simply doesn't want to see what one is going with their learned skills... just turn off viewing signatures. Solved! My new website is now completely done with wordpress... it wasn't cheap at all and took me a while to get around in it. I felt like i way over payed but i do like it. I will sign up... you will find me under Mystic Jillee~ and... i have a new website, at which you just reminded me to update my info... Thanks so much and glad to see ya here.

Alumni Posts: 534 ![]() ![]() | Jill, your site looks wonderful! Very professional and well done. I was building my own site to encompass all of my services with IPAGE, but it ended up being harder than I expected and I couldn't figure out the shopping cart. People always say you can make a professional looking site with word press, I had considered trying that next. It's the time involved in building it that's my issue, and I don't really have the funds to pay someone else at this time. So, I stick to my free, easy to use things for now. Thanks, Paul Any word about UMSers in Ecuador? xoxox

Alumni Posts: 534 ![]() ![]() | Oh, great Jill. I will be interested in your opinion. I'm not sure how active they are, but they seem to keep up with what they say they are doing. Sure, Paul. I received an email this morning from Christine saying to thank us all for our concern and asking if we would post the link on the forum. I had done it yesterday here. I wasn't able to post in the announcements section- but maybe one of the moderators could do it?

Expert Posts: 2118 ![]() ![]() Location: The Heart of Space | Finished the fourth cup.....and am now pouring the fifth cup.....which is for Elijah the Prophet. Manischewitz is a potent brew; I sure hope Elijah ain't driving tonight. For those that indulge, may your Passover be spiritually renewing. Paul-you might know since you dwell in the arcane....I recall Seders where Elijah knocked and the host answered the door----I understand the Ashkenazi and Sephardic(sp?) open the door during seder and sort of let Elijah come on in on his own.
