Location: United Kingdom | Did Board members see the horrendous news of the attacks in Paris over the past 24 hours or so?
Such horrors - and others ongoing - committed in the name of any religion are baffling, are they not?
Love, alignment and hope are with our French compadres.
The conflict between exoteric (fundamentalist) and esoteric (spiritual) world views seems to have been perpetual and given the inextricable interdependancy of the current world are worringly insidious and ongoing.
Although I remain also perplexed by the 'Je Suis Charlie' movement. I am not sure if those who claim 'Je Suis Charlie' realize that it comes from the Spartacus movie, where all those who had fallen in the final slave revolt against the early Roman Empire, aligned themselves in defiance by claiming their leader Spartacus' name as each their own. But isn't doing that in this case making it appear as if the nihilistic assassins have won already?
In keeping with our metaphysical search for Divine love and truth, I would rather something like, 'Je Suis the Self' [that is within and beyond, outside and within, all our love, longing, hatred and betrayals, endlessly forgiving, and enduring without end, etc ..)

Location: Nigeria | Sir Paul, I can not say we did not. So were other daily killings in other distant parts of the world, without (serious) mention here and in other professional platforms in the forms of governments, the UN etc. A couple of days ago Boko Haram killed not only 12, but a couple of thousand people in a day(Allegedly 2000). There seem to be no end to this blood thirst. Metaphysics knows Evil as Evil and Good as Good without mixing words. Lack of blending to this metaphysical truth is perhaps the reason most of us can not see or could rise to the calling of our minds to halt these horrors unleashed on humanity by the forces of the Satan in us.
But it shall come to pass that the forces of the Good in us shall wax stronger somehow this year 2015, to beat the Bad in whatever hoods they wear on their faces, for Peace and Justice, regardless of color and creed, to prevail and lift the world to the next level of prosperity - Amen! Shalom!!!

Yes I saw with sadness too deep to speak of, the reports of Boko Harun too.
As you say, Evil stalks the world; and such places as this are one way to combat it and keep the lights of Good alive
