| Peace everyone- I have a question regarding Sigil magick. I have been feeling the need to do it which I take as a sign that I should do it. I am reluctant because I do not want to open doors which might allow foreign possibly demonic or negative entities in my life. The research I have done on line the sigils seem to fall in the category of "black magic" and people talk about using demons to help them achieve material things. I am wondering if a persons own energy is enough to make the sigil work? Does anyone have experience with this specific type of magick work- and if so how were your results?
It seems to me a sigil might be the next step in manifesting ones desires only using a symbol as focal point to the subconscious, although I might be wrong on this. ??? |

| HI, there. I imagine it depends on the Sigil you are using and your intent. I do not have experience with specifically "Sigil Majick" That's all along the lines of Chaos Magick of which I also have no part.
I have no experience with "demonic" or "negative" entities. I've never encountered them, never felt them, certainly never seen them. I don't expect to. I have read a bit about them, though.
I think their existence might be something that one manifests in their own mind. If you expect and seek out something horrible, you just may find it. Keep your intentions pure, for the good of all. Choose symbols that resonate with your soul and fee right to you. Like attracts like. If you don't want to mess with Demons, then don't. Would you even want any material thing aquired using the assistance of a Demon? If that's your intent, then that's your intent.
There are other forms of Magic and you can focus your intent and raise your own energy in any capacity you choose-using your own energy.
It doesn't sound to me like you want to get mixed up in that(Sigil Magick) but have been lead down a path that entertains the ideas of such things. Find something that works better for you. There are other paths to Magic. Find the one that feels right to you, there won't be any question of right or wrong, good or bad when you find the right path. You will just know. It will feel right. And certainly your own intuition will lead you in the right direction.

| Disa- Thank you for your response-
I have had experiences with negative people and what I believe as separate dark beings and I certainty do not want to interact with them again. I do not want any demons around me at any time thats why I asked the question on this type of sigil activity. I am cautious about what I do in my life- whether its yoga or even meditation. I like to know what I am doing with my self before I do it- and I want to act only in love and light. I appreciate your comment and I agree that I will be led to the right path on this specific question I have. It just seems like when people write down their intention or repeat a mantra using their own energy wouldn't be that far off from a person using their own energy with sigils? Anyhow thank you again for your comment  |

Correct! I agree. I thought about this all day and wondered if I had gotten my point across in the way that I meant to? I think that also, it isn't just using our energies, it's working WITH nature or the universe, or God or whatever the life force is to you. I feel when our own energies are combined to work WITH the energies of nature that we are bound to bring about the best changes. If we try to go against what is natural, it seems it would be much more difficult and a lot more struggle. A wise teacher said to me, "It's not about power OVER, it's about power THROUGH". Words with which I totally agree.
I'm glad you do things with caution and try to find out what you are getting yourself into first. I am personally a self proclaimed "healthy skeptic". I don't believe everything I see and hear, but I also leave open the possibility that there is more out there than what I know 
Anyway, good questions you have there. Hopefully someone who actually does this particular type of work in the particular way you mean it will come forward and respond. If not, I'm sure you will get lots of good ideas from the rest of the members. Good luck on your journey.
