I had deleted the post content for the following reasons:

1) I am young and searching for an authentic spiritual teacher, as such I am realizing I can be easily swayed.

2) As much as I was hoping to start another degree here, to help expand my spiritual (non-material) self, I cannot do so here.

3) While the books and courses here would likely expand what I could experience, it will not have the necessary weight to hold ground publicly.
- I do believe their will be a great change next year when the time comes. Ultimately, it will hinder on the basic choice of respecting nature and each other and get over
fighting because of physical and/or sociological differences.

4) If I choose to come back, it will be when this university can stop relying on two accrediting bodies with very near-identical website construction and layouts.

5) However, in fairness, without the diversity of experiences I have had the joy of living - this university included, I would not be who I am today.

The best understanding that has worked for me is this, to learn from the various experiences and modalities of thought to develop the best practical solution based from the problems that are most commonly shared species-wide. In short, the very diversity of this entire world is the driving force for nature to grow, learn, and excel beyond all borders we humans place on each other and the environment.

Individuality, diversity, and adaptability are the natural keys to growth and healing - not one culture by itself will contain all the necessary answers.

I will get off my soapbox now. Good night everyone and merry be.

Badger,

You seem like a person who is already well versed, and needs no teaching!

So as you go out and find the answer, please share with us so we can help children too!

Did you want to share a clue about your secret, or should we start guessing?

As you have an audience here!

some secrets should be kept for the benefit of the reader. once you turn to the last page of a mystery novel there is less mystery involved. for enjoyment of the reader perhaps such things should for a time be secret.

A belated Hello Badge,
 Lemme see here:
"3) While the books and courses here would likely expand what I could experience, it will not have the necessary weight to hold ground publicly..."
I am not sure what you mean here, but suffice it to say that much of the course material is based on reputable work....that holds true unless you refer to highly speculative things,  which I can't mention since I don't want to interfere with the collective love affair with Ms. Byrne. (And, Badge, I think you are mature enough to realize a snarky remark when you read one.)

"4) If I choose to come back, it will be when this university can stop relying on two accrediting bodies with very near-identical website construction and layouts."
This one has me really interested.....I am curious as to what other website you refer to......and I am also curious as to how you view the accrediting bodies. It is easy to phrase things as you do....but what accreditation would you think is more appropriate???? UMS is not going to be accredited by, say, the same body as my University is....that just is not going to happen...we are talking about vastly different schools, with vastly different missions, although we could all be students at both.

Your statement is 100% spot on...." If I choose to come back"....no one forces me or you to be here. I pay to pursue a course of study by choice, no one forces me to do so and there are no conditions that I placed upon UMS when I was accepted for study. It is my responsibility to meet the standards of UMS, not the other way around.

Off/On Topic:
Badgie,  you  mentioned that you were "young and searching". I am not young but still searching. I teach....and I find that many feel they are "entitled" to an "education" because someone paid someone  some money called tuition. Those that have this aura of entitlement deem themselves above others, and feel they need do little or no work but still get the sort-after degree because they PAID....as if the money changing hands is the essence!
I went to a prestigious college and spent most of my time doing everything in the world except studying. I graduated with the lowest possible GPA, as I had the ability to show up for exams and get enough stuff right to pass with a minimal grade....no easy feat when the subjects are things I never heard of.....but..when you think about it, isn't Latin a lot like English.....and isn't Physical Geology common sense...I mean, how many kinds of rocks can there be? YET, I deeply regret the missed opportunity that I had at the minimal cost that it was....my full tuition and room and board was $1095 a semester and I had a grant....the bursar gave me $50.00 change when I paid my bill each semester for the first year....I got kicked out of the dorm after the first year....and didn't need the board anymore.
I learned that I wanted to learn but didn't know that I wanted to learn at the time I should have learned....I learned that those who want to learn never stop that wanting to learn....it is there until the last breath....as at that moment we all learn the greatest lesson of all.....
Sooooo....Badger......it is indeed your choice.......and I, for one, hope you choose wisely!

Best Wishes of Peace and Harmony,
PsychoMarty and Lucky, Poppy (they are my two remaining cats....each college students of sorts)
