I see the connection.....and, believe me, it ain't the actual pic which is typical late 50's sci-fi....but there is that little oddity that connects it with some of us metaphysicians.....not all, mind you.....but some.

My apologies to you, but I am way behind my times and could not reply in a timely manner, but now respond in a timeless mode.
The Mole People has two interesting things. The first is the opening sequence featuring a noted University of Southern California (aka USC...Go Trojans!) professor, who went on to do several films concerning the mind as a computer for Bell Laboratories (the research arm of the once extremely powerful and innovative AT&T). This gentleman went even further to describe little men doing things in your head.....not literally but figuratively. He became a small time cult hero of the California "first new age" movement. The second is the movie itself which is replete with historical fact and fancy. The people who walked out of theatres in 1956 were most likely some of the first to hear of Ishtar, and would carry the misinformed memory for years, until Sumerian/Persian culture became more familiar to the world. The movie is thematic and evocative of all metaphysical coda.
But, I leave it to you, and anyone else interested to determine what it means. It is free to see and takes about 78 minutes of one's time. The best print is on YouTube and was posted by greggdurham. There is another full length print on YT which is of lesser quality.
Many "live-in-the-nowbies" disagree with me, but I believe that the study of metaphysics is the study of that which is around us past, present and future, and encompasses all that our multiple senses can experience, even including films from 1956.

Location: Bellingham | I once claimed happyness as a metaphysics I aspire to. Along with my misunderstanding the nature of metaphysics I found my statement food for Freud. I found metaphysics once again; somewhere between metaphosphoric acid and metaphysis. I found solis in the thought of finding joy in the comming of sadness. I found that strangely I always when attempting this find an object. no thought, no revelation, no memory, but always an object, and with this satisfaction an asthetic. now, this is my metaphysics. I will not watch your movie. I am busy. If you find metaphysics in the past, present, and future perhaps you are closing in on trancendency. Which is undoubtedly a wonder! too many times people think of things metaphysical as a question like 'could G-d create a people so strong they could kill him?' There is a name to every face, even that of trancendancy in your study. I needn't go on like this. In my fathers terms I am "waxing poetic". Its the hour and a night at the gym. peace, cause P.S. I would attempt to grind out a few more hours but mania isn't fulfilling, it usualy produces less too. |

| Dear Cause, Please know that as we face the emotions we feel in things, sometimes we go through a wee bit of mania, and it is considered the change energy that happens when we face things we are unsettled about... So feelings are temporary, and subside, as time passes the only thing left is our love for our brothers and sisters Love and Light |

| Dear Cause, Please realize there are what are called polarizing forces to make us hot or cold if you will on the emotion sets people feel... Well it seems you are there feeling the energy, so there is consideration to the Dosha Issue of time.... Even in the bible they spell out sequences of time in the day like the 4th hour and such.... But the 4th hour is important from the aspect of the Dosha... The Dosha changes every 4 hours and happens at 10, 2 and 6 regardless of day or night.... I know personally when I have held on to strong emotions too long past a Dosha surrender period, that a power rollover happened and the first time it blew a hole in my field the size of a person as I had refused to let go of some issues that were there.... The incident seemed to happen at 3... An hour past a Dosha rollover period.... So the great changes happen near these time places, as people residing in a time location try to hold on to the past and the present, and desire to conquer the future.... So it was just for me to be happy in the moment and either I let go of what I was facing, or it was to be ripped from, as I asked to be made whole and dictated what it would look like at the same time,,, LOL it was an eye opening experience.... And I saw things very different from that day forward. But the Dosha change periods no longer seem to affect me, and I can remain un affected now as I roll through them feeling the change energy, once they seemed hard to deal with, and now they seem like the most fun to walk through Love and Light |

I am reminded of good old Dr. Pepper.....10 2 4.
The concept and the meaning of the mysterious numbers on the bottle is not so mysterious or metaphysical for that matter.
The concept was studied and formulated by Dr. Walter Eddy (?-spelling), who was not really a metaphysical guy but a professor at Columbia University, working on body energy in the 1920's.
Thanks for reminding me of this....but now I am thirsty for?????????

| Marty, Bingo, you have a hit there and it is someone used a principal from the spiritual world in the physical, to help the energy flow, and use the Mantra of the energy and borrow it with slight modifications to make a hit drink like Dr pepper... every hit song the group the Beatles made had some principal they sort of invoked to punch it up a knotch.... So yeah it works, and as people feel the energy, they either cling to it or use it for a stepping stone to the next rung... But it is a known fact the Beatles were immersed into eastern and wester religion and decided on none specifically, but took away what they found useful (sound like metaphysics 2 me) Love and Light |
