I have questions about the different courses that are offerd, what are the main differences of all three: Bachelor Of Metaphysics, B.M.
Bachelor Of Metaphysical Sciences, B.Msc.
Bachelor Of Divinity, B.Div. Is there anything I could read up on all three basically so I will know in detail the differences. I am in Mass

Hi Lisa,

As far as I understand this, the only difference is the electives that you take in the program.

So with the different degrees BM verses BMS verses B Div, the same classes are offered

I've registered. Why is it that I can't post on the forums? Can anyone tell me how I could do that?

Thank you!

Hi Lisa

Hello and welcome - have you read through the other sections on the UMS web-site? It does give in some places, a discussion on this. Let me know if you cannot see it

Blessings

Welcome Lisa,

The difference in the degree designation is in what you would like to use it for. If you are planing on continuing through the D.D. or the Ph.D. then there is where the main points come in. If you are thinking of a spiritual practice then the D.D. may be the way to go. If you are planning on writing then the Ph.D. may be the best way to go.

The course work is the same for all the various degree requirements except for one important difference. "The Doctorate Degree has no written or audio lessons. The only work required is writing a 10,000 word doctoral dissertation (equivalent to two book chapters in length) on any metaphysical subject you would like to write about. For instance, if you want the Ph.D. in Holistic Life Coaching, you must write your dissertation on a subject pertaining to life coaching. Otherwise, there are no limits to the subjects you can choose."

Please look at the following;
http://www.umsonline.org/Degrees.htm

A 5,000 word thesis is required for the masters level on any spiritual topic that is of interest to you. Upon completion of the masters you will receive your ordination as either a reverend or minister and a practitioner certificate.

You may obtain a second doctorate by submitting an additional dissertation after the first dissertation has been passed, and paying the appropriate fees .

I understand at first this may be confusing, if you need further assistance pleas ask as many here on the forum have had the same questions.

Blessings
Leo
