Hey all....

Thinking of joining....actually, let me rephrase that.....will be joining but not just yet Have read quite a few of the posts on here plus read what the courses entail and know it's definately what I want to do.

What I've just read though is about how these degree's are not recognised in the Uk?! I don't mind as this will be for my own learning, but if I, for example, wanted to conduct a wedding ceremony.....where would I stand in England?

Would also like to say that have looked at other Metaphysical courses and this looks by far the best and everyone has nothing but praise for it, which says a lot!

Love and rainbow light

PaperFaerie,

Hi and welcome to the UMS forum.

I live in the US so I don't know of English laws

Thanks for the heads up on this post FF, not been able to get to our site, my work computer resistant (?!)

Dear PaperFaerie, hello and welcome

Check out the Spiritual Workers' Association website. Most helpful; I am registered there.

Descriptively, with no judgement or comment, UK regulatory laws are very complex

As you say, best to do what your heart feels you inclined so to do

All might then fall into place, or no -

Leastways, you'll have done all you can for the Eternal Now: upon
which we are all dependent

and how can anyone have done more than that?

Welcome~

Perhaps ask one of the ministers of a church there. Simple ask where he signed up, or what he had to pay, show or do to become a registered minister.

To be a registered minister is quite easy. Anyone can do it with-in five or less minutes on several different on-line websites. However, it's whether or not they will be accepted by who-ever registers or licenses.

I was lucky, all I had to do was send my signed certificate to the Secretary of State, of course with my money, and at that point, I was registered.

When people want to get married, they have to go to the court house and provide documents and buy a license. They then bring that license to me. I give the ceremony and sign the documents and send it back to the courthouse to be filed. The couple then is legally married and will get a certificate in the mail stating that it's been filed.

That is how it happens in the States. Not sure it is anything similar or not.

I hope you can find your answer.... and then post it here. HA HA HA

Blessings to you!

Hello PF, PJ, FF, DrJB et allus:
I quite frankly don't know how anyone gets anything done in the UK! My friend has taken the driving test six times and has yet to pass. The last time it was a flunk because she didn't look all about her while stopped in a line of traffic on a roundabout.
In my state in the US, people who speak no English take the written exam on a computer in a language of choice, and then can immediately go for the driving test after paying for the learner's permit. You zip around the block, park parallel and bingo.....you got a license to drive!!!!! You spent maybe four hours.
And.....let's not even think about the "Life in the UK" book to become a citizen...with questions about the Russian Revolution and the affirmation of the subjugation of women. Geezzzzz.........

BUT, I love jolly olde and I say G'bless the Queenie!!!! Also, as we say in America.... paseo la pelota a Rrrrooney, vide vide vide, GOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL. Gol a Wayne Rrrrooney!!

Pax,
Marty, Lucky, Poppy, Sissy

P.S. I firmly believe that we should make Spanish co/primary language in the US....think of the massive employment that would result as we would need an army of workers to change everything. But instead of guaranteeing employment for years and years to come, we will (instead) succumb to an irrational prejudice that we all gotta speak English in whatever form it takes. Word up!

Oiy Paulio,
I might feel a bit bettah if me luds in Blue were tops....but Chelsea has been a great disappointment for me. I recall you have some Arsenal in your brood. I hope they prevail, as I am not a great fan of ManU...I like ManCity...and I can't see myself cheering on ManU.
As for Wayne.....America fell in (and quickly out of) love for Bend'em Beckham. Same for Rooney. We like the showy bicycle kicks and the dirty play that Rooney used to engage in. One goal every few years is not enough for us Americans. We demand a goal every possession and a fight and penalty also.
It is why we rebelled and  gained independence......just not enough action on the Brit side.
Ohhhh.....by the way.....do you follow Cricket at all? The Pakistani guy at one of our shops was glued to the tube because NZ was in a fierce test against Sri Lanka or some such place....we do not get any Cricket news. I can only find Cricket scores when I buy the Sunday Times, but when we get it it is two weeks old. They started a new Times deal where there is an electronically transmitted version that is printed....but that one doesn't have the magazines and theatre and book reviews....I have given up....I now read the Irish Times.....that one is only one week old. Apparently mail gets here faster from Dublin than from London.....f'aith and begorrah!

Take Care Dude,
Marty and Feline Cohorts

Wow Marty = not only do you have a good memory (my sons are Arsenal season ticket holders; I for myself, think it is all strange illusory nonsence, though 'twas me put them on the waiting list when they were wee bairns

.... not only, but also, you appear to be psychic - I may be presenting an academic paper in Dublin at Easter time. Very strange insight you had there

ps, very strange goal at last week's Carling Cup Final too

'we fight...'

Welcome on board, only that not all of us here will agree with Marty's 'fight'. You probably wont need that here. Never mind me, just feel free, sheath your sword in its scabbard, it may have no use here and moreover: 'He who fights with the sword dies'...

There is Nothing like Peace!
