Regular Posts: 52 ![]() ![]() Location: Buffalo, NY | I just finished the Dream and Dreaming course and the NovaDreamer was mentioned. I was thinking about getting it. Has anyone ever used the NovaDreamer and if so, what was your experience? It sounded very interesting and a new area to explore.

UMS Faculty Posts: 17 | Hi, Nadine ~ I am glad that you are interested in Dreams and Dreaming; I have been giving workshops in dream interpretation and how to remember dreams for quite a while now. I had thought that the the NovaDreamer was no longer availalble, but upon a search I found the following link to someone who is putting them out ~ check out http://www.lucidity.com/novadreamer.html to see what they have available.... I have never used such a device for lucid dreaming, but it may be very interesting to pursue. I mostly have enjoyed the symbolic aspects of my dreams.... Take care, Margaret

PhD Alumni Posts: 4414 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: United Kingdom | Great question Nadine .... over on the Starlight Journal some months ago now they were kind enough to publish a report of a dream of mine that felt very powerfully lucid, if I can put it that way, where I seemed to be back in the High Andes, which also mirrored a poem I wrote about not visiting the Q'olloriti Apu at the time of their pilgrimage ... that can be found somewhere on the LivinginPeru web-site, or by Googling, Q'olloriti, oddly enough, it seems to usually pop straight up! Then again, much longer ago, when I was learning Shaolin/Qi Gong, I dreamt that I was with my teacher, and he hit me hard directly in the middle of my back - which as we know, has some significance Have a nice day Edited by Paul Joseph 11/25/2009 5:06 AM

Alumni Posts: 862 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hello all, They now seem to be on the second revision of the Nova Dreamer, and there seems to be a competitor to the Nova Dreamer. The claim is the device allows you to become interactive with your dreams and to have some control over the events and to remember more. But they say that the device is not needed for an extended period, just until you are aware when you are in REM mode sleep and to become more interactive or creative with dream states. The UMS course materials did not indicate how long before the device was retired from use, just that it was no longer necessary. I know everyone is different, but knowing another's experience with a device is a base line I am interested in doing this, but they do seem a bit pricey for something I am supposed to grow out of the need for. Have any students at UMS used one of these type devices? Too bad they do not rent these by the month... Yes I know there is karma with something used, and the essence of its prior users is on the device. But the dreams I do remember so often have meaning. Love and Light!!!

UMS Student ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Bellingham | I have looked into the Nova-Dreamer. The product sells faster than the company produces them. The company does not make many. In my knowledge the second generation of the device is already sold out, and if the past is any indication there will be no more made. I would very much like to talk to a person whom has worked with one. I look into metaphysical tech often and I have yet to meet a person with any experience with one. Any experienced mind would be helpful in this thread. e-Bay is now has a used one for over $400 and if you want it you should buy now. The price nor the availability will improve. cause

Alumni Posts: 862 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I have tested computers and electrical control systems as an engineer for the last ten years. I would use windows based systems to control industrial process flow. I also was given products of software and hardware and told to create instruction manuals and spare part recommendation lists and to find the most vulnerable portions of the system and to suggest upgrades when the product is reissued. I have worked with manufactures to get special product design features implemented on future releases, with under righting insurance approval for product use. The historical cost of all electronics is the cutting edge technology always is a bit pricey when it first emerges on the market. Most value proven electronic components are examined and reverse engineered to create a better product at less cost than the original design. Any electronic product which is abandoned and no longer produced that is useful gets built by someone else that out performs the original version, at have the size and half of the cost and twice the speed twice the life of the product. Mechanical products do not follow this rule, and always seem to cost more tomorrow, and often do not perform as good I have discussed the Nova Dreamer with one of my close friends in the psychiatric field who is a medium, and they are considering doing sleep study experiments with this device in the future. Love and Light!!!

Alumni Posts: 862 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Since the Nova Dreamer seems to slightly raise our level of conciseness by flashing LED lights on the users eyelids when in REM mode sleep. I don't have the device to do this, but I have meditated in bright light while awake, as this is as close to this process as I can do for no cost. I do this like scrying at a flame or with water Love and Light!
