by peoples names in forums.
What do they mean?
Are they like the little box of foil stars teachers used to have?
Sometimes on your school papers returned
Or the graphic chart sitting on the wall
a star earned for each accomplishment?
Or because someone noticed your light shining brightly?
If I get to have one someday
can they be green or purple??

Location: California | Haaha! I spied a poem! I could look it up, but I think the stars have to do with numbers of posts.
It's an automatic feature of the system, a kind of computer pat on the halo.
You Kashia are a shining star without the symbol!
Keep flying through this space and posting and you too may possess a star. And no matter what color it is, if you have a bit of purple cellophane, you can glue it to your screen.

You do not need the glare of a PC screen to shine .....
Dear Tracy
I had also noticed the interesting military style rankings for the number of posts (eg, veteran, etc); does this reflect the spiritual battle in the war against 'sleep' ? (joke !)
dozingly yours

Location: United Kingdom | Meant to add, but forgot ... your post evoked the thought of "The Little Prince" by Antoine Sainte-Exupery - perhaps you know it ... wonderful book; seems also to have inspired some of Richard Bach's work (I much preferred 'Illusions' to 'Jonathon Livingstone Seagull' [and even preferred Neil Diamond's musical tratement of it to the book, don't know why) .. and he recently put out the 'Messiah's Handbook', also pretty good)

Location: United Kingdom | I noticed the poem too. I had thought you were being deliberate.
So, for myself, and from the perspective of Tradition, i would, that all true poetry - as yours holds the chrysalis of - comes from the Muse. The Dark Lady of Wisdom,Sophia, the Sacred Mother. The Eternal Self immanent and so often unconscious in our imaginations ....

(if you are interested in poetry and spirituality, "The White Goddess" by Robert Graves is quite an interesting text) |

Location: Wrocester Mass | I didn't realize it wasn't intended as a poem until i read on lol! Yeah, the green star means 25 posts, til you get four green stars, then there is purple for 100, blue i believe is 500, etc. If you click on statistics, then click on user listing at the bottom right it will show you at the top of that page all the requirements for different ranks... |
