Anyone pick up on the work of Graham Hancock?
He has been writing and researching for a number of years on the central idea that the world was once inhabited by an advanced civilization that was wiped out by a comet, but a few of the wise remained to wander the world and guide the building pyramids and megaliths that could serve as a reminder or advance notification that the same thing might happen again, as the comet - or meteor - was a fragment of something that is still out there and he suggests that it wanders back into our solar system in 2030.
He has a new book out. Here is his web-site.

Hello,
The old myth of Lemuria springs to mind. While I don't know the author Graham Hancock, the legend of Lemuria has been around for a long time. Long enough for people working on plate tectonics to use the name to describe one of the large land masses that eventually formed some of the continents. Much like Atlantis, Lemuria was a civilization that was described as being advanced it was also said to have had technologies that allowed transport of large objects and people over great distances. These technologies were said to be powered by crystals and the minds of those who used them. How the civilization ended is unclear in the legend. That the end was sudden is a part of the myth. The parallels with Atlantis are apparent. I have wondered if the myths were related in some way.
I am sure that searching for Lemuria in some search engine will result in some hits. It is an interesting enough Idea to perhaps explore twice.
Having looked at the Graham Hancock page I have noted that the dates are different than the Lemurian myth. Which took place hundreds of thousands or millions of years ago, and is really a tale of parallel evolution. Have fun with these Ideas. they are worth exploring.

Location: United Kingdom | Hello Paul,
Myths and legends are all very well and I love them as much as anyone. Naturally, I can only speak for myself and I feel I have had enough of the speculations that surround them. For me the time has come to search for the truth in all things. Looking back as far as it is possible from where I am now, that has always been my one great endeavour.
Therefore, I shall be glad to wait until I get to the world of light, where we are allowed to take a look into the Akashic Records and everything that ever happened in our world. That is the only way of finding out how things really were in Lemuria, Atlantis and whatever other ancient civilisation with the passing of time once came and went on our planet. That, to my mind, will truly be interesting.

Aquarius,
I am unsure how Paul feels, but I would encourage others to look into these instructive tales, and would be disappointed if they were forgotten. I want a conversation about them. The thoughts surrounding them are cautionary and insightful. For now, these are speculation. But, perhaps we(you) should speculate.
You may find it more interesting than you think.

Location: United Kingdom | Sorry not well presently so have to be brief ... the relevance/interest for me is as alluded to by Graham Hancock: that those ancient civilizations left us with markers in monuments to help us survive what they anticipated might happen again, some great catastrophe brought about by regular cosmic impacts ... also, separately, a bit, was Edgar Cayce's idea that the Akashik Records were buried beneath the Sphinx's feet; and recently I note that more chambers have been identified in some pyramids by recent echo research ...
sorry again for brevity ...
best

Location: United Kingdom | Dear Paul, With all the respect that is due to Edgar Cayce's excellent work, I do not believe that the Akashic Records exist anywhere on the earthly plane. They can only be found on the higher and highest spiritual levels of life. With love - Aquarius * * *

I was not discounting the value of direct knowledge. Your desire to have such is admirable. Surely, method is not something that need be avoided. And, as such some speculation (even if we do not consider the instructiveness of it alone) is warranted.

P.S. If you find the Akashic Record (Which is most likely unearthly) I would like a temporary card! I find prediction and speculation enjoyable, but it would be nice to find spiritual truths factually.

Location: United Kingdom | in reply to Leo's response to that news item about the possibility of pyramids (or natural formations?) being found in Antarctica, I was reminded of this ?ancient? thread discussing such things, especially this post of mine from 11/14/2015 #26704 [pardon my inability to cut and paste!!], especially re: Graham Hancock's recent work and also Edgar Cayce's visions ...
Hancock, in brief, suggests such ancient monuments were built by advanced civilizations, or under the direction of survivors of such following an earlier planetary catastrophe, as future markers for us: in such massive stoneworks that would be most likely to withstand any cometary destruction that they foresaw (hence too the origins of Atlantis) ... interesting that they might now be emerging via global warming [as some postulate that is where Atlantis might have been sited: it kind of fits Plato's location, give or take a tectonic shift or two]...
.... regarding current crises in world affairs, I see with dismay that there have been recent mass deaths of reindeer in the Arctic (starvation I think)and separately, antelope (150,000) in Kazakhstan through (a virus apparently)...
we need to get our act together before it is too late, though it might be already
... keep meditating I guess ...

Location: New Smyrna Beach, Florida | I totally agree with you Paul. The earth has been around for many millions of years. In that time there have been many opportunities for other races of beings to have either established a civilization or simply visited. The Sumerians had left cuneiforms that detailed visitors that the Sumerians called gods. It seems obvious that by looking at the various monolithic relics that humans could not have built. The pyramids, ley lines, Stonehenge, Machu Pechuu and others. The stones are so precisely cut at Machu Pechuu that it seems that a lasar must have cut them.
In the Sumerian cuniforms there was descriptions of a race of large beings known as the Anunnaki. It has been discussed by a few that they might have even started mankind from existing hominids. There are still some strands of DNA that science cannot account for. Additionally there may have and probably was many other beings that visited or established communities.
The Atlantians were extremely intelligent. So much so that they probably destroyed themselves with the power they created with crystals.I believe that in the near future we will learn more about these beings that most call aliens.

Location: NE Ohio | I'm currently studying Thoths teachings, about the Mercaba. Fibinachi's sequence and phi..... this is all interested because we are created by ancient civilization.
Many hidden truths are being revealed. Lemuria and Atlantas (aka Sumeria) existed at the same time. They did not sink. ... the earth shifted and water flooded in. ... many are still here and ancestors exist. .... us! We've been dumbed down over the years, we used to know everything and have perfect memory.
We are aliens. ... but the full forms and other races exist.
My sources are from many Gaia.Tv episodes of The Flower of Life and other contacting Alien (remote viewing) and channeling books galore.
Great topic Paul! |

http://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/ancient-stone-carvings-confirm-...
The article cites this latest research as supporting the conjectures of Graham Hancock - we have mentioned him before on the Board, fascinating researcher, with a web-site of his own worth checking.
Adds to thoughts about the recurrence of civilizations' rising and falling, and our place in the grand scheme .. ?? |

Trilobites - 270 MILLION years
Dinosaurs - 66 to 70 MILLION years
Primate to Homo Sapien - 200,000 years give or take..........................
.......and here we find ourselves on the brink of extinction! The aliens were a lot smarter than this! Where did we go wrong? Where did we #@!% up so badly??
The use of nuclear weapons is not as problematic as is THEIR EXISTENCE in our space and time.
The COLLIDER seeks to detect the God particle, but has NO safety measure for what might occur in the process of capturing it's presence.
False prophets misguide people as to Quantum Physics with little or no understanding of what the science really is.
Metaphysics markets angel cards and super super super secrets of the Law of Attraction that can be bought for dollars.
The so called ancient mysteries are not ancient, but they are alien. We need to understand the language in which they are written. It is not to be found in esoteric texts or arcane manuscripts. It is not to be found chanting, or in chakras, or in meditations.
It is there in the process that makes a seed in the ground grow and blossum into the most beautiful flower that you have ever seen. Everything has consciousness and the flower will display itself at its most beautiful so that it might survive with help from the beholder of its beauty.
Probably the most successful entity on the planet is the dandelion. Beside the pretty yellow flowers, it has the little white puff ball that no child can resist.......blow and off the seeds go to make more dandelions and little white puff balls.
Maybe the aliens should have helped the dandelions instead of us!
Puffs of Dandelion Peace,
Marty

That is only one thing. .... but we. ... we here need to pull together now and starting healing. We are in a global crisis! |

Location: NE Ohio | Yes, my grandmother used to make dandelion wine..... feed it to us kids. ... hahaha. I didn't like it, but i didn't appreciate the benifits as a child. ... i would give anything to have my grandma back. She was so beautiful and full of happiness. My mom never believed in her gifts. .... but i did. I had to watch her pass, when we pulled her tubes at her request. I still don't think i have fully mourned. ... not sure how. ... |
