Christine
Breese, Founder of UMS
Beliefs About Abundance And Her Income at UMS (...continued
from previous page)
click here to see previous material Even the founder of UMS has only recently started receiving a small paycheck per month, having worked 12-16 hours per day, 7 days per week for the past 8 years without pay to bring University of Metaphysical Sciences to you. She cares far more about people than money, and has lived a spartan life in order to make UMS a reality. She does not own a home and lives in a rental, she drives a 10 year old car, she shops at thrift stores, and she conserves in every way possible because she believes that all people should have a decent lifestyle before anyone lives in luxury. She has enough to meet her needs and balances carefully what she receives each month just like everyone does. She chooses this path willingly because it allows more money to stay in the non-profit endeavors of the school and the church. The founder judges no one who is presently rich. She only hopes that by example she can encourage those with money to have compassion for those without it, be willing to share a little more and not be so afraid of scarcity. Scarcity causes hoarding, and in turn that causes destruction of the economic system. Christine believes that a huge part of the economic problem in the world is because almost everyone is afraid of scarcity and harbors a lack of trust in the universe. Even very rich people have this fear and it is manifested in the hoarding of money and assets. Christine walks her talk and lives with trust that the powers that be will take care of her, as they always have. She believes in "endless abundance" and she lives in that state constantly even though she has no material possessions of great value, nor wants them. She is very unconcerned about amassing material wealth or possessions. Spiritual wealth is of far greater value, and being in service to humanity is the greatest of wealth in her eyes. Even the richest of the rich who think they are "abundant thinkers" are actually exhibiting scarcity beliefs with the hoarding of great wealth, rather than belief in abundance. In reality, they are hoarding because they do not trust the flow of abundance to always continue, and therefore feel they have to save a lot of money "for a rainy day" when the universe stops flowing. This is not abundance at all! True abundance, and the belief in it, is displayed better by how much wealth one is allowing to pass through oneself into the world without fear of the flow ending. Do you believe in an endless source of abundance? Do you believe that the powers that be will take care of your needs and that you don't have to hoard money? There's nothing wrong with a small savings, maybe even a decent savings that you can live on the interest with, but the hoarding of mass amounts of wealth is what is causing the economic problems most of the world lives in. A large bank account that doesn't have "outflow" and only has "inflow" symbolizes the extent to which one has scarcity beliefs and does NOT trust the universe to continue to provide. Even spiritual people fall into this trap. Manifesting skills and mind powers are being taught to people who are thinking that they are being spiritual, but actually they are only using these "law of attraction" mind powers to be more greedy. The only difference is that they now have a secret weapon, the mind powers of spiritual teachings. However, these teachings are not tempered by the art of compassion. The law of attraction teachings have gone "yuppie" and there is now a mass efforting of "me getting more" using the teachings of spiritual truths about the laws of the universe. This era is not a time for hoarding, nor is it a time for "making everyone give equal energy exchange," especially now that people have less and less as each day goes by. Something far more important than s "attracting more for me" is happening. Humanity is in a quickening process, a mass awakening, and nothing matters right now but assisting every individual who is part of that awakening in this process.
People fear they will not be taken care of, and in effect it causes everyone to hoard money and stop the outflow of their abundance. This in effect causes an economic "damming" effect, the same way a river is dammed and the water stops flowing and dwindles down to a trickle. While a reservoir serves its purpose, a completely stopped outflow down to a trickle literally creates death and destruction of entire ecosystems downriver, just like our economic system has been destroyed. Entire geographical areas are left without the flowing economic water they once had. There is no real economic flow because everyone is trying to dam up the rivers of abundance and create their own reservoirs. Everyone feels that if they don’t get a large reservoir of their own, they will be left without water altogether, and with everyone thinking this way, it is true. Many will be left without. Only when the economic rivers are truly allowed to flow will there always be water for everyone. Little reservoirs in multitudes of places are far more efficient than a few large reservoirs that cause drought for everyone else. Small savings for everyone are far more effective in creating a pleasant economic reality for all rather than a few large reservoirs of money where only a few can drink. At this time, 1% of the population holds the wealth of the world, hoarding, while another 9% is somewhere in between. The remaining 90% live in constant financial struggle without enough to live on and little, if any, extra money to spend on having a little for things other than basic needs. They live downriver from the large reservoirs that refuse to release the nectar of economic water. Christine lives without a savings and yet feels quite abundant because she does not believe that the universe will ever stop sending her what she needs. She feels very connected to an endless "spiritual bank account" and that as soon as she needs something, it will be provided. She has been living that way for most of her life, and has not been let down yet. She does not feel a lack of abundance even though she has no "hoarded" stash of money somewhere. She doesn't feel she needs it because there won't be a time when the universe doesn't provide. Because of her belief in this, it has manifested in her life to be true. Yes, a few hundred in savings is something, but it is nothing compared to what most people consider a true savings account. Christine hopes that by receiving less money in her own reality, UMS has that much more ability to assist those who request a scholarship or other services at UMS. She would rather send more free textbooks and meditation CDs to the prisons and set up free information websites for those in third world countries who will never be able to partake of UMS no matter how inexpensive it became. She hopes that what she refuses to receive in money will translate into help for others. If and when the world provides for everyone to have a good lifestyle, then she will be willing to accept more. Besides, the school and church do with the extra money what she would do with it anyway if it was paid to her, but then there would be more income taxes lost to non-spiritual functions in the world that assist humanity in its time of awakening. Breese feels that true riches reside in what a person does spiritually for the world and the raising of consciousness in humanity. Material gain, not even a large "safety reservoir" of hoarded money, can represent the endless abundance in a spiritual bank account. That is the bank account Christine is most concerned with and it is the only one a person leaves this life with. On the other side, you will not be asked what you accumulated in your life. You will be asked what you did with your accumulations and how well you served and assisted humanity with them. You will be asked about the love you shared, spread and inspired in others. The founder, Christine Breese, D.D., Ph.D., hopes that the realities of suffering, lack of opportunity and starvation are a thing of the past. This is her conscious choice even though she has had the opportunity for riches through the school and other means. She hopes to use UMS and Wisdom Of The Heart Church as an example of a kind and compassionate business model that assists others, rather than serves the top few executives who get rich. Of course, there have to be a few brave souls who are willing to let go of the large reservoirs of money as the money flows in. Who will be the first? Christine Breese has volunteered to be a flowing river of abundance to the world rather than a hoarder. Who will join Christine in showing what true abundance is? Who will set aside fear of scarcity and trust that the flow will keep coming? Who can fly without a money safety net and display the true freedom in abundance that can make the world a better place, down to the poorest person on the planet? It takes many who will release the large reservoirs back into the economic flow that they belong in. It is Christine's hope that wealthy people will step forward to assist humanity in its spiritual awakening. If you have more money than you know what to do with and you want to assist humanity, perhaps you would like to assist UMS with providing translations of courses to poor foreign countries, for which we receive requests quite often. Perhaps you would like to get these teachings into all the prisons all over the world, and the mental health institutions. Christine Breese personally has a soft spot for the poorest people who are left behind by all the self help gurus who are getting rich off spiritual teachings. If she herself had a wealthy benefactor she would be willing to provide everything for free to those who need it so that even the poorest person can learn meditation techniques and take courses in spiritual enrichment. No person is unqualified, and money should not be a barrier to spiritual advancement for any person. It is an unbalanced situation in the world. Christine Breese feels it is unfortunate that the system of money must be applied at all to spiritual teachings, but the office has to pay rent, payroll must be paid, and expenses must be met. If she could get around all that, she would provide everything for free to everyone. As it is, UMS employees work for low wages because they all believe in the work that UMS does in the world and the work is done from the goodness of their hearts. Money isn't doing anything to help the world sitting in a bank account or buried in a chest of gold in the back yard, collecting dust. It is "energy" that can be used to help others in the world right now. Now is the time that it is needed, not when the world economic system has already collapsed and money itself is rendered useless. Collapse is inevitable once the large money reservoirs are completely dammed up. That situation is almost upon us and it might already be too late to save an economic system that is based on hoarding and control by only a few. After all, money is really only an illusion, an agreed upon value, a mass hypnosis. It isn't real. If everyone went to cash in their accounts right this moment, it would crash the entire economic system because it isn't really there in your bank! Many have not realized that the amount of money said to be in the world doesn’t actually exist. Money must be put back into the river with a trust that the flow will never stop in order for the system of money-energy to work right. If a person has more than he or she can spend in one lifetime, it is too much. Technically, there is a million dollars for every man, woman and child on the earth. If one person holds more than that, it is hoarding and stopping the flow. We can all think of a few who hold more than that. It is ridiculous that people are starving on a planet teeming with abundance. The eternal self that we all are has endless energy and resources. Humanity must change, and that change begins from the spiritual realms within each individual.
