Dear Dan,

I do enjoy your wit, and seeing it rise in elequent fashion as this is awesome!

But did you debate the issue of the last time Fearless Leader signed in she created a new idenity, and has other identities with her same name... From my memory, CB came here to the land of the lost to explain an unfolding situation, or to bring us up to speed... on something... But the golden rule applies to her, as she make the gold for UMS and the rules too...

As far as being fair, I have read her papers she used for student material... She walks the fine divide of traing us witout telling us what to think or how to use our knowledge... So the Holly Spirit is invoked through our hearts to teach us right from wrong in our personal decisions of what to believe, and us being initiated into spiritual ascension... This is the front major issue as many programs require certian your free will be broken and theirs placed there, so we are freely given a chance to find the truth from within. Might I say it is rare to find this anywhere.

But when we are no longer students and learning, we have a closed mind, so I want to be a student till I die

Love and Light

Belated Greetings, Salutations and Congratulations Dan-ju-man!!!!! The stars are shining bright in the night sky and they honor you with a fantastic light show.

You mention void. Two things occurred.

I recall a comment from a fellow poster which I thought on and decided to do what I had determined was the best thing to do. The poster, quite correctly, pointed out that things I write may be misunderstood on a discussion board as somehow, someway, reflecting the teachings of UMS since my status was identified as "Student". I therefore asked our wonderful webmaster to change my status to something that was innocuous. Wise Zy came up with no status whatsoever. I am very happy with this.

Further reflection gave me pause....our Webmeister picked the perfect thing for me personally! I do not begrudge anyone else from using titles, or heaping themselves with multiple titles. You guys, my friends, deserve the recognition that the achievement brings, and I respect each and every one of you all as you proudly assert the academic achievement. I come from and work in an academic environment and I know what the culmination of hard study, hard work, and sacrifice means.

But my experiences in life, particularly in public televison, has caused me to disdain titles. I do not have enough fingers or toes to number those titled people who treat others as if they were ants.....something to be stepped on.

Fric and Frac,

PsychoMartin, Luckylee, and Poppyhead

I think we are all students anyway, anyhow, whether enrolled or not, and after 'qualification' too.

I might ask for my status to revert, if an Administrator is reading this.

Or maybe Pilgrim. I quite like Pilgrim ...

Or Fellow ... in the UK, a Fellow [whether male or female] is actaully an academic-professional title that is slightly more inclined towards the practice element rather than the academic element that an Alumni indicates ... how about becoming a Fellow?!? ... one could be a Fellow of the University of Metapnhysical Sciences (FUMS) sounds rather like FUN ... or as we say over here [one for Marty] - 'all fingers and fums'

Admin?

OK, here is my take on the other side of this topic about "status". A status doesn't mean anyone is better than anyone, it just shows that education was accomplished. I would never be ashamed of that. It is rather important for a client to know and feel that a person helping them is indeed "qualified" to help. While yes, many people can and do help regardless of "status" but when it comes to hypnotherapy, it's VERY important for clients to know that the hypnotist is well trained (using hypnosis as an example).

So, yes, I will place my well earned title, for clients sake of feeling safe. It's also a very important NLP factor, also needed for hypnosis work.

I am sure anyone would want their physician to be well trained. I love seeing the documents of education on my physicians wall. It gives me a sense of trust, that perhaps he/she can help me, even if it's a placebo effect.

This is just a forum. If one looks on the website for UMS, you will see credentials all over the place (this is why others feel good about training here). All earned credentials. I earned my credentials several times over in many different fields both accredited and non-accredited. Doesn't make me better than anyone else, just qualified to better assist others. I earn my living, needing to use my credentials.

I am proud of my hard work and dedication to education in my own life.

Thank you!

Nice answer, Jill

Funny, seeing the answer and the change of ID, maybe the PhD Alumni is indeed a better one ...

Do you mind reverting it for me please [my judgement of late has been very questionable; under heavy clouds] .....

We all make mistakes ....

Hi all: Please, please, please, remember that I consider you all close friends and I speak as if we were intimately together.......AND, I do not have any problem with any of us who wish to list titles, etc. I was speaking personally, with regard to myself and generally so that others might know something that I hope the hoi-polloi would realize but oftentimes don't-----and therefore are beguiled, fooled and taken advantage of. John Doe can go on the internet and get oodles of credentials that say he is a qualified alternative hypno-disco therapist chiropractic herbal inner mind advisor, counselor and healing mentor.........and he will list himself as John Doe, Phd Hdt, Member of CHIMA, Member of CHM. He, by virtue of unwarrented credentials may cause a flow of money to negatively impact those that seek help and positively impact his balance sheet. The question is not will he, but CAN he help those that sought his help? If I may....another scenario is Doc J....with your titles, you are, indeed, qualified by many standards, and there is a great likelyhood of a positive outcome for someone who seeks your help----as opposed to our Doc John Doe. That is your credentials, Doc J, above and apart from UMS. So, with regard to UMS, hence, my point was that the status only has meaning in a hierachical context, where we vie to be, somehow, better, further, above, beyond, superior, to others, but not necessarily equal. The last proof....I have mentioned in maybe one or two threads that I am also a member of many things....one is/was NATAS (National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences) dropped this one as I no longer work in the "biz", but if you do you can join and vote for the Emmys ; and some mystical orgs which basically anyone can join...wanna carry the Rose Cross; and one that virtually all of you cannot join....no matter how hard you try..... ......leads me to another comment I made today........if you think that finding the secret to eternal life will make you famous, you are dead wrong....it will make you the most hunted person on the face of the planet and you will rue the day that you gained such knowledge". Metaphysics is contemplative, insullative, and secretive, as the old societies practised. It should remain so. Winken, Blinken and Nod, PsychoMartin, Luckylee, Poppyhead

I had to edit some spelling.......and I still think I missed a word....there are others who could care less how things are spelled and that, to me, is another indication of how far we have declined.....soon we will have brain surgeons who won't care if they are a silly little millimeter off..........

Hi Marty,
Although I often feel I am just one that is tolerated by most, it does not matter what I think. I do not have any credentials that prove a thing. I have ultimate respect for Doc J for one reason, and this is not the credentials or anything to do with what others say, it is she seems to follow her instinct, and stand up for what she believes in, and seems very honest about what she shares.
I do not know or understand what the full limitations of someone who is not doing the right thing and the flow of the energy there. As my take is there is per se no real right or wrong, just those who would stand on principal alone.
I am considering joining the Rose Cross group, but I read on their web site that some of the people listed there were also Free Masons, so it looks like they could be using the same info or have cross connections to the scocieties... Don't know for sure, but deeper truths might be the underlying metaphors revealed by self discovery, and inner search for truth.
As far as the statement "and one that virtually all of you cannot join....no matter how hard you try..... ......leads me to another comment I made today........if you think that finding the secret to eternal life will make you famous, you are dead wrong....it will make you the most hunted person on the face of the planet and you will rue the day that you gained such knowledge". Metaphysics is contemplative, insullative, and secretive, as the old societies practised " There is nothing one this earth that seems uncorrupted, by people and the desires of control, And I share this from the perspective that most desire to project their free will to all other humans and the need to inform them where they are wrong, and how they need to improve.
PS I am a horrible speller, so I should maybe,,, as you advise stay out of the brain surgery field as this might present as I "won't care if" I am off or not

Hiyah Fox....

It matters very much to me what you think! I am not one of whomever it might be that "tolerate" you. Ohhhhh..........a story comes to fruition.......Absy and I (among many others...but I got the blast) had our majpr differences. It was only when I mentioned his incapacity to exhibit the universal kind of "love" that someone else jumped in and shut the thread down. That person reacted on a personal level, not having read the book that Absy basically authored (which I have).

Absy and I are so similar......both of us love Ayn Rand........but he loves her for a philosophy by which life should be lived.....and I love her for writing one of the greatest novels ever written. Her world to him is real, Her world to me is fiction, appealing but, nonetheless FICTION!

While there are Rosicrucian groups, they are not all networked, nor united. The same thing as happened to the Catholic church has happened to the bearers of the rose cross....which in my schema....is the same belief. If you would like, start a Rosy thread and I will be in the thick of things.

Fox words: "There is nothing one this earth that seems uncorrupted, by people and the desires of control, And I share this from the perspective that most desire to project their free will to all other humans and the need to inform them where they are wrong, and how they need to improve" -Foxism ends........if I only had "free will". The world is a vampire; and despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage!

P.S. Foxman....you are right! You, in a post, said that my comments reflected on UMS, particularly for newbies to an open discussion board. Innocent folks might think that my use of the imagery of words would somehow violate them. In turn, I think that the misspellings and poor grammar that some of my fellows exhibit also reflects badly on this University. Does the status that some posters have indicate their level of achievement?

If so, should not they put "the best foot forward?" If not, is it ALLLLLLL that important that we know that someone is a DVCDDVD???? I think this is the Doctor Video Compact Digital Divinity Vivisectional Divinity degree track........a title that I surely respect. As my friuend at the Social Serviuces oiffice says......damo lettas you got damo money you makes......

Dear Sweet Marty,

I know you are a kind soul, and are caring.

In Acts 28:3~6 And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand... [the locals thought] No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live. And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm. Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.

So Paul seemed to be changed to Ophiuchus [Greek ?φιο?χος serpent bearer] or snake handler
Who was at first thought of as evil, then as a god. So stories are based on our perception at the time we see them. If our perception is judgemental, we can narrow the field of our understanding, and make learnig just short of needing a miracle to alter our known reality. And we often need a Snake handler to get bit and show no emotion, to change our perception of reality. So good and bad are percieved by our emotions, at the moment we process the information. Look at the bad things we know of and the pain memory there, they serve a vital function for our growth.

I read the story of Moses in the bible, I see a power struggle between the masses and Moses. Short sweet and simple. Moses had one thing going for him, he did not want the power and this is probally why he had the power.

I will share that any point of fact or dogma has holes in it, it was meant to be this way on earth. Speaking from certanty seems like future destruction is required to stop that insanity. Only from love can we see others are perfect as is. We do not need to change people an Iota subscript, on a personal level.

As for Ayn Rand, not sure of the refrence to this, so I will not flounder aroud this subject

From: 'If you would like, start a Rosy thread and I will be in the thick of things.' I think I probally will do this here at UMS

I understand your point of the world being like a vampire and we or you are in a cage, Sometimes the best we can do is react in certian ways. But knowing this is going on is half or more of the way out of the cage

For the issue of misspelling, secretarial tests from 30 to 40 years worked on sheer words per minute, stressing highly that they should not try to chane words that were typed... as they felt sooner or later that a machine would fix our grammer. I personally did not develop grammer skills well, and spelling is not something I am concerned as being a primary important issue. As if I am graded on spelling, then someone wants to question my elementary teaching, I do not know how many times I shamed my elementary school teachers. I moved about 5 times before I was in the 6th grade, so always new teachers to challange and tell where I missed their mark. I shamed a 5th grade teacher who was doing physics and asked what was heavier a pound of gold or feathers... I answered feathers were heavier... I had to explain that god was sold in troy weight at 12 ounces per pound... She had me sent back to the 4th grade the next day... So feel as you desire, but make knowledge an Idol and then there are some feeling lost in translation, that go misunderstood.

I do not try to be right or wrong, just to help expand the horizons of those who feel something I have to share can help them. And not to say another is wrong, but I do contest some who venture to say where I am wrong. Read or rethink every prophet from the bible and their interaction where a challange was made to asserted before them. The prophet does not usualy just start out like this is how it is,,, It is more like they respond to what claims were made in there presence, and challenge them there from the words they were told or heard.

So others should spell good, and then they are inteligent. I am cool with being thought of as village idiot, in this case

I hope all is well with you!

Love and Light

Marty,

I do not feel bad for the way I spell, end of story! It does not make an iota subcript difference to me. I just know if I want to make a 7 year old's day, we just do the spelling bee thing and they feel good about themselves there is only so many times a kid can be threratend to learn something or you will take their toys away and wash their mouth out with soap before you have to be sent to school almost naked, before the chid determines the parents are unreasonable and cooperation only needs to become an appearance. Either you are dislexic or you are not, and all of the pain in the world cast upon a soul can not change the fact. Ever tried to force a color blind person to choose a perfect color. This is a major lesson of acceptance of are as is. And people who get upset over others seeming to be as shortcommings almost cries out, they have been doing whatever they hold to, way too long, as PATIENCE has left their building or spirit

Marty, I just wanted you to know that as a child, I blocked out my times tables. You see, I was questioned as a kid about what x what was what, and i couldn't come up with the right answer, due to being afraid I would be wrong. This happened because when i was wrong, i got slapped in the head. Some would say this is child abuse, yes... but back in the day, it was normal. So... being afraid to say the wrong answer.. i couldn't say anything, which lead to a slap either way. What a harsh lesson to learn.

So, bottom line is, I have a degree in Electrical Engineering (which is all math), yet I do not know the simple times tables.

I learned the hard way that it's not what we memorize but instead, what we learn to use as an alternative rout, that may indeed be a shortcut after all.

It's the love that you feel and accept that counts.
Love, always...

Jill,

This reminds me of when I was about 25 years old and I met a guy who said he was a minister to avoid paying certian taxes, I felt like I was a bad person or judgemental, because I could see things about him that he could not see... So I felt the problem was me. But he said he was watching his son or grand child, in an absentee father situation, not sure which was the case. But he said he was angry with his kid for drawing all over the walls with crayons, and whipped the the child to prevent him for drawing on the walls again. Well the kid too to the punishment so well that the kid refused to pick up a wrighting tool again. So yeah the ones who have been teaching too long and have lost patience with students, might want to think about how their lack of patience can become destructive if the are just way too negative. I learned teachers were not people you could reason with when you are young and before your heart is hardend. I later went to night school and got a few degrees, but I decided if one of them tool a free shot at me, I would not flinch to call em on their narrow minded perception. I got along great with the kind ones or funny ones, but the grouch angry ones were target practice. I spent 200 semester hours exerting energy against teachers/// when needed, I also was best friends with some.

I was in a trignometry class and a teacher made a wise crack answer to me and said I presented him with an algebra question problem, and I should have worked this out before I got to his class. I just happened to have my transcript in with me, and showed him where I had straight A's in tech and college algebra... And told him I set the top of the bell curve for my tech algebra class, and that I took extra college algebra to avoid situations like this again, and we needed to resolve his point, or I was on my way to the deans office next. We he did not another condescending thing toward a student from that day forth in my presence. I think he saw I did not mind getting made to look like an idiot, but if he did it again, I would saw him down with academic advisors, and other students. I do not think he had ever been called out by a student before. Oh yeah he explained the math point to the entire class the next thursday night, after explaining it to me that tuesday
