haha! Yes, they were thread bare, master of puns!...weren't they. We needed to shake this place up a bit. Was getting too boring.

Yawn

My official invitation was evoked by some evocations here

... as for forest dwellings & Nemetons .... (from your other postings dear Cara) ...

why, those of us zipping aorund the cosmos having only ourselves to blame, are cloaked in the inter-galactic dark matter .. and the Son of Man had nowhere to lay his head .. even as the foxes of the field and the lilies that did not weave (threads!), but was Solomon arrayed in such splendour ?

........... and dear Lori, I shall now be looking forward, even more than I was before (with all its mighty shimmering falling leaves & translucencies) to golden October and the possibilities therein ! x

I hope it works out! That would be fabulous! It is all dependent upon which way the wind blows with hubster's company...

I am actually to the point where I would be so disappointed if it didn't happen, and I promised myself I would not be attached to the results...dang it!

OK, So I have a question...Where is everyone with his/her/your respective studies??? If you are studying in the UMS program, that is? The reason I ask is this, are any of you planning on attending a graduation ceremony with UMS at Harbin Hot Springs? If so, when do you plan on completing your coursework? Would this not be a good time to meet???

Just a thought...it would be an easy meeting...in body.

Kiddo. (off to read some more...)

would be nice to meet in the body, but just too far, in terms of time and money, at present ... have thought about it though, before now x

Yes, travel to California is a trek. Actually, travel within California is trek! To give you an idea, I live a good 14 hour drive from Arcata, where it is only 7 hours to Tuscon (in another state).

really? Come on over! Actually we were talking about this a few months ago, how cool it would be to meet! Not sure where I saw you mention where everyone is in their studies and the Harbin Hotsprings retreat ( which sounds delicious )!...I am 18 courses into my bachelor portion...as I am taking the slow road for now and doing 2 courses per month...which will hopefully be expidited (how do you spell that)? soon! Anyway, I know what you mean about Cali, I was there about a month ago, driving from Silicon Valley to San Fran, the long way, that's all I know..the coastal route...it goes on and on like Texas does, it seems!
And what Paul and me are yacking about is that my hubby's company ( nano-technology thin film wafer technology and optics ) is international..and they have many international clients..etc...and he may have the opportunity to travel to the London and France in October with spouses...and I would certainly hope to be able to at least meet Dear Paul face to face, and any other friends of the board who live in the area!

Since I graduated a long time ago, I would have to just chime in. LOL

Don't know when I can travel, as CA is a really long way for me to go, but I want to. I would love to travel more.

Been down with the blahs.... don't know how else to put it.

Trying to get out of it.

HUGS to all and miss everyone badly!

Jillerama!!! Did I tell you that my Jilly is pregnant now??? Ahh life...

You know what? Wrap yourself in your blahs...face them head on...you are certainly entitled to feel Blah, with all that has been, shall we say..offered to you of late...curl up, or better yet, have a margarita and put on your dancing shoes! If I was in Ohio, I would knock on your door, toss you into my car, crank the music, put the sunroof down, and help you celebrate being alive, being present, being a woman..being a daughter, a wife, a mother, a sister, a friend...Stand in front of the mirror and smile smile smile...and as Martin-Hopefully-Never-Seen-On-A-Milk-Carton has suggested in absolute truth, a good cry always makes ya feel like a zillion bucks!

Love you, Jilly

As for me, I just started my studies in July. I have completed 10 courses in Bachelor's so far and will have completed 14 at the end of August. I am on the 6-8 classes per month plan.

My goal is to finish up within a year or a year an half with all my theses. It's a lofty goal with a toddler, but we will see. It may take me longer. Finding the time to research will be my biggest challenge.

Wow, C- that is lofty, yet with desire and a clear mind along with knowing who you are, it could be accomplished, I am sure! You can do it!!!

Thanks for the invite, Lori. You too. In Orange County, just south of LA. It's relatively temperate here compaired to other parts of the country, though it has been very hot this summer. (nothing compaired to Arizona though. My father grew up in Chicago and Phoenix, AZ...talk about extremes!)

You may enjoy our summers or anytime really. Our winters are fabulous! Very mild, more like spring, light and bright. Little possibility for seasonal affective disorder.

Cara (chasing nearly 2 yr old, holding bucket of ice cubes...why did I give it to him!)

Oh yeah, Congratulations to Lori's Jilly..... for the soon to be new baby. How beautiful and glorious to have something so wonderful, once again.

It won't be long, before I will be sharing news of grandma-hood, too. (maybe in a couple years).

Many Blessings to all, and to those too, yet unborn~
