1. The snowflake: for its multiplicity of uniqueness, noone the same, yet each perfectly symmetrical, yet also, ephemeral. True miracels of creation.

2. Bees and flies; the former becuase aerovynamically they are not supposed to be able to fly; the latter for tehir horrendous mission in keeping us alive.

2. Mathematics: for its eternally discoverable sureness.

3. The selfless self-sacrifice of who give their lives for others, oftimes anonymously, and with no thought for reward.

4. The permission we have not to believe in anything at all

Just a few of my own .. be interested in others's' !

Blessings

5. Oh yes - and the Mayfly, who only lives for a day yet is so full of the miraculous intricasies of creation (but, Chuang Tzu, does it know it only lives for a day? Do we ?! Ha ha) [poor state of affairs laughing at my own jokes]

6. Cave paintings of Lascieux and similar; for their aged hiddennes and brilliant splendour, encased in comlpete darkness, illuminated only when we are there ... !!

hi,i gree with all the above, and you know, seriously,i wonder if the mayfly does know it only lives for a day.
my proofs of God are the love shown by others,to others, when they themselves are in pain

the people saved from horrendous accidents, that have lived to tell their tale
the forgoten heroes who work behind the scenes
the birth of a newborn child
the unseen hands that holds those in grief
the love that brings strangers together,as one
the beauty all around, that not all notice
the colours of the weeds, the most beutiful gift of nature
the tireless doctor, who workks beyond his shift, and spends every day and night, watching over his patient
the stranger who holds out an outstreched hand
so much more,

okay,its made me think,so i will ponder,and return,to read others,love and hugs,irisxxx

Such beautiful examples, everyone. My own personal example-oops, I cannot figure out how to post an image in this text box!

Ok, so Personal proofs of God for me is that there are universities churches and forums such as this - that a person or group of people could listen to the divine within them to bring such things to fruition.

Love to all!

How nice....

I also think Proof of God can be personal as well. Someone who opens the door for you, who is a perfect stranger. These things do not happen as often, but when they do.... you seem to really remember it.

Tracey,i absolutely loved your pictures, thanyou for the beauty, strange,i was thinking of rainbows, and all the healing colours in them, for a long while,,i have been trying to find a picture of a rainbow,as i had a strong feeing that i wanted to put a rainbow picture on my wall,it had to be straight in the middle of the house, and placed on that wall,i had a feeling that the rainbow colours, placed specificly in the right place, would heal all who lived here, and the house.I couln,t find one,my husband looked and looked,i saw some of the pictures, and decided that the ony right way was to take a picture myself, when a rainbow came,as the real thing, would only do,The next day, there was a rainbow outside our house,i was so exited,it seemed to be a double rainbow, one of the ilke i have never seen,i took pictures, but they didn,t turn out as well as i would have liked,as the colours weren,t strong enough, etc.my camera fault.anyway i am still looking, and when i saw your picture,i thought wow!thats it,amazing.Okay, straying fromthe subject, sorry.I have since young collected seashells, and coloured stones from the beach, until it became illegal to do so here,i still have them, and place them round my house,i love them.I also have a story about a butterfly, its true, but i,ve gone on too much, but let me say it was in answer to a question to someone in spirit, and this was their proof.okay, enough, just let me say, tracey, you have captured the true beauty of the divine, you are such a warm, caring person, and so close to spirit,i love you,to me you are like an old friend, the best,i mean all of this sincerely, and more,i send my love and light to you, love and hugs irisxxx

Dear Sunflower - How's this (the picture) for a ring ?!! [and another proof of God!] ~

http://space.newscientist.com/article.ns?id=dn7564

From: NewScientistSpace web-site

A spectacular, luminous ring offers the best evidence yet that a nearby star is circled by a newly formed solar system.
The ring is composed of dust particles in orbit around Fomalhaut, a bright star located just 25 light years away in the constellation Pisces Australis – or the Southern Fish. A recent image captured with the Hubble Space Telescope - which makes the system look uncannily like the Great Eye of Sauron from the blockbusting Lord of the Rings trilogy - confirms that Fomalhaut’s ring is curiously offset with respect to the star.
The most likely explanation is that the gravity of one or more unseen planets is dragging the ring askew. The fact that the inner edge of the ring is relatively well-defined adds further weight to the argument because it suggests the unseen planets are sweeping up stray dust within the radius of the ring.
The image was captured by astronomers at the University of California, Berkeley, US, and NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center using Hubble’s coronagraph. This device blocks the glare of a star while gathering the faint reflected light from any surrounding ring.
The new image is the first time Fomalhaut’s ring has been seen in visible light.

As a student of William James, I need no proof. After his exhaustive study, and some 20+ lectures at the University of Glasgow, I do agree with his conclusion, in that, if "we" as mankind say that God exists, then God does, indeed, exist.
Notwithstanding the contrary beliefs that I have, as a Roman Catholic, a Rosicrucian, a Darwinist, an occultist and a fool and knave, I have one thing that says, above all, that God (in some ways, shapes, or forms) does, indeed exist, and that is that I have that most important element.........FAITH!
After many years, if I don't see you guys with harps and wings, no big deal.....because I will see you in some way.....WHY?
Because God created things in the image of God, which is ETERNAL (all of time exists), and therefore, the creations are also eternal.
But pretty pictures are always just that, pretty pictures, and I do believe them to be a manifestation of God; and ugly pictures are, indeed ugly, but they, too, ARE A MANIFESTATION OF GOD!!!!

Peace to you all,
Marty and Sacramental Cats, Luckylee, Poopyhead, and the Sisster

Yes, the word is faith, which to me is an inner conviction of a loving connection to a Higher Mind within me, which speaks in a still voice, which becomes clearer and clearer.

Yes, Trace,
Your story gives that away free for the discerning reader...you do indeed, have deep faith. But, you know what? You ALWAYS had it!

Numinosity too; quite well captured in this old poem by John Buchan, unusual in that he was brought up a strict Presbyterian but had beneath that a depth of pagan, numinous spirituality ..:

WOOD MAGIC

I will walk warily in the wise woods on the fringes of eventide,
For the covert is full of noises and the stir of nameless things.
I have seen in the dusk of the beeches the shapes of the lords that ride,
And down in the marish hollow I have heard the lady who sings.
And once in an April gleaming I met a maid on the sward,
All marble-white and gleaming and tender and wild of eye;—
I, Jehan the hunter, who speak am a grown man, middling hard,
But I dreamt a month of the maid, and wept I knew not why.

Down by the edge of the firs, in a coppice of heath and vine,
Is an old moss-grown altar, shaded by briar and bloom,
Denys, the priest, hath told me 'twas the lord Apollo's shrine
In the days ere Christ came down from God to the Virgin's womb.
I never go past but I doff my cap and avert my eyes-

(Were Denys to catch me I trow I'd do penance for half a year)—
For once I saw a flame there and the smoke of a sacrifice,
And a voice spake out of the thicket that froze my soul with fear.

Wherefore to God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost,
Mary the Blessed Mother, and the kindly Saints as well,
I will give glory and praise, and them I cherish the most,
For they have the keys of Heaven, and save the soul from Hell.
But likewise I will spare for the Lord Apollo a grace,
And a bow for the lady Venus-as a friend but not as a thrall.
'Tis true they are out of Heaven, but some day they may win the place;
For gods are kittle cattle, and a wise man honours them all.

Namaste
Paul

Sorry; I should have clarified with the above poem that Buchan was an historian, amongst other things, so he wrote this poem as if he were writing in in the 9th century (in the book of his poems where it appears, "Poems English and Scots, in the Scots vernacular", it actually subtitled, 9th Century; though Buchan himself was born in the 1875 and after being a lawyer in Britain, went on to be Governor-General of Canada, dying in 1940. He wrote heaps of books, thrillers, histories and biographies; most famous for, The 39 Steps.
