Please place what you feel are successes and failures. Does not have to pertain to your own life, but can if you want. Then write what you feel would be the ultimate goal for success in your own feelings.

Have fun~

NE - so well put. What does one do in Zen when one perceives another's moment of Zen-ness, enlightenment?

Seeing that success and failure have no reality to them is an ultimate goal.

The ultimate goal is then to enter & incarnate that which is truly and only Real.

I feel it is impossible to fail Earth life, but to feel like a success is an emotion, a feeling of accomplishment.

I feel i have succeeding in plenty of things.

To fail, is never really failing, because we learn by failing, which makes us try again until we succeed.

The goal is: Needing both~ for being content with the successes that happened in the first place due to failure.
Both are needed to grow. What good is success if you do not enjoy it / what good is failure if you do not learn by it?

Yes, Human experiences... but aren't they both beautiful?

Aah well, Sunflower,as long as i can make someone smile.

This thread keeps making me want to post 'If', the poem by Rudyard Kipling.

I might, sooner or later.

Nice to hear from you again Rose

Thanks Paul, I'm back.... I was visiting a very old building built in 1909....the number stayed with me because the oldest penny in one of my coin collections, I once had many years ago was a 1909 penny.

So looked up some information about 1909...you know took the journey. It led me to learning that 1909 is a hyperperfect number. The next won't be again until the year 2041 and again in 3901.

I'm trying to figure out the significance of a hyperperfect number. Or more specifically what is the importance of this particular hyperperfect number?

"If" is a great poem!
I used to have it memorized.
Now i only remember, "If you can keep your head, when all men doubt you..."

NE, I think the lines that were coming back to me relating to this thread were,

'If you can meet with triumph and disaster
and treat those two imposters just the same'

Success: looking back on a life of love with a smile. ( In about 150 years )- I may be toothless and grey but how cute would that be?

Failure: not following dreams

Goal: project loving energy - kindness - remaining detached - charity

Today's election miracle turned me back to this thread of Jillifer's ... which reading it again made me think of the 'spiritual materialism' thread, a bit, and the 'what I like' thread too then seeing Rose's post, made me realize again how missing she has been and hoping she is well .... (and looking forward to welcoming back NE whenever he returns x) and then a new reflection, how do we know what is a success or a failure, at the time, as things often look diffferent, looking back ... ?

"Everything, all experiences, are tools to enhance consciousness . . . until they are not." -- My Sister

All experiences, both negative and positive, are vehicles for fine-tuning perception and consciousness. All experiences are backdrops to our consciousness. We learn about the nature of our sentience, the nature of light and energy as subjective defining qualities, and how to fine tune our will until it is 'focused freedom'.

Expansion of consciousness is the goal.

(in this lifetime ....)

success= feeling loved and loving my family/guiding all to happiness

failure= watching someone who is a part of you struggle and refuse your hand to help

ultimate goal= I wish I knew...maybe to understand that strong willed people need to pull themselves up or they just keep falling

Blessed Be
