I think we need an index to all these threads, or an annotation, or some such, 'cos its getting quite hard to remember what has been posted and what not, the themes have become so interesting and complex, that it's a worry that some good stuff gets missed, or overlooked, or might even be repeated without knowing it ... there are so many K's coming to mind, but I don;t want to insult anyone by repeating .. oh hum maybe I'll just have to look back; unless anyone knows how we might create a search facility if there isn;t one ..

Good morning all! ( Or afternoon as the earth indicates )...

I tend to agree, we should start a new thread...because in order to keep track and to respond to those posts we want to, we cannot find em because they are all over the place....

ok, gonna do it.

xo

Oh dear I am literally going to be all over the place now as i have to log off. So I will miss this new arrival.

Perhaps threads can get too long and we need to feel freer just to start a new one. Mind you then that woudl get confusing too.

Then again, us Poohs are bears of small brain ! x

Excuse me...minus a computer screen, of which the most powerful computer in the world is useless....I am catching up....
Ergot....yes, indeed!  A UCLA professor understood this!! He became famous, not for his academic achievements...and he had a few good ones....but for what he "discovered".

Helloo dear Marty ... does that mean we are on F ?

Does Francis, as in Saint Francis of Assisi count ? God's pauper (his biography by Nikos Kazantzakis), communicator with all of nature and friend to the loweliest of us human beens, a humble, modest and itinerant lover and fool of God x

Time for a spot...a cuppa! I shall have mine with milk and sugar!
Not all Americals share the addiction to coffee....though many Brits do. Though, many drink Nescafe...yuuch.....instant coffee.
Ya wanna see coffee at it's best? Get a movie called "The Ipcress File" with Michael Caine. In the opening moments he makes freshly ground coffee with a French Press. As a kid, I thought this was the coolest thing I had ever seen!

I so agree Marty; the books are even more graphically culinary [Len Deighton, the author, had been an air steward, amongst other jobs)

- my dad, who had been in the merchant navy, obtained a 'percolator' once and we felt very cosmopolitan (1960s) ... also, in Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, Steve Martin makes Alan Ladd the meanest cup of Java ... did you see that scene .. egg shells & all (my dad used to put egg shells in too!!) ...

... as i've said elsewhere, now i drink mostly Macchu Picchu Cafe direct Fair trade organic, or if it is tea, black tea, (no milk), or if at home, Chinese white tea (ie, not with milk, but a peony leaf, or some such, from the high misty mountain tops) !!

... and this one by Jillifer that has long since grown dusty with time such that I completely forgot it when we did the 'favourite word' thread ... though too i remember when we played this, it began to grow difficult to remember words we had used before - as is getting to be the case with Lori's great Word Association thread !!!

Akhnaton - pharaoh, that some suggest may have been the actual Moses of the OT (but I am open to correction on that one as I am not primarily an Egyptian scholar)
