I'm going to write koans up here for everyone to contemplate if you so choose too.
Koans are meant to keep the mind from straying and after much thought, or lack of, you may come
to an answer, but i can tell you now, that every koan has only one answer, and they are all the same.

The original wheel-maker made wheels with a hundred spokes.
If you take away both sides and remove the axle, what does this clarify?

Todays koan is called One Finger.

Whenever Master Judi was questioned, he would just raise a finger.
Later a servent boy would also raise a finger when outsiders asked him what the master taught.
When Judi heard of this, he cut off the boys finger iwth a knife.
The boy ran out screeming in pain, but Judi called him back.
When they boy turned his head Judi raised a finger. Suddenly the boy attained enlightenment.
When Judi was about to die, he said to a group, "I attained my teacher Tianlong's one finger Zen,
and have used it all my life without exausting it." So saying, he passed away.

A modern day nod of recognition:
Pai Mei: "It's the wood that should fear your hand, not the other way around. Nowonder you can't do it, you acquiesce to defeat before you even begin."
----For context purposes this is from Kill Bill 2, a flick by Quentin Tarantino.

Peace,
Marty

does the first one have to do with; the fact that the wheel has no sides and no axel or pole ? ,and the second that he doesnt have a finger?

hey i came up with 2 koans, the second being the same to help incase you cant figure it out, so the first one is:

A man puts his head in a deep well that has trickling water, he instantly attains enlightenment.

the second if you need a hint is:

A person takes out a metal tray from an oven rack and instantly is enlightened.

haha this is pretty funny , good luck.

The sharp blade held up alone test the little boy.
The great spirits lifted its hands, without much ado,
And split apart the millions of layers of Flower Mountain."

Todays koan is called "wash your bowl."
Remember all of these koans have the same answer, but if you try to think about it, you've already lost it!
Instead, see only what is now, its a gift, thats why we call it the present.

A monk asked Zhaozhou, "I have just joined the community, and I request the teacher's instruction."
Zhaozhou inquired, "Have you had your breakfast gruel yet?"
The monk said, "I have had my gruel."
Zhaozhou said, "Then go wash your bowl."
The monk attained great insight.
