I have been thinking about attending ums. I was curious on how much ums covers such subjects as "out of body experiences" through trances and or lucid dreaming ? how much of telepathy and telekinesis is covered as well if at all?? I would like to do more research on these subjects although ive done a lot of out of body projections in about 4 years of practice. My final goal would be to gear myself more towards that area and write books on the subjects as well as possibly hold workshops. I was wondering how helpfull ums could be to me for this current subject area?

Hello, UMS touches on all these subjects, but if you have already been astral projecting for 4 years, you are beyond what our astral projection course is about. Out astral projection course is geared toward people who ahve never had one yet and are trying to learn. Same with the other skills. We can help you get started, but after that you are on your own to learn more and become an expert. We give a good readling list if you want to delve more deeply into any of the subjects we cover. However, perhaps UMS can help in other ways, like filling in the gaps in your knowledge and giving you a broader spectrum of understanding of various subjects. Blessings!

that's why I'M so excited to get enrolled...I like to think UMS is like a gentle tutor, there to guide you to the things you want. no one knew yet what exactly they are, and myself, i don't know how to start on my own, although so far i have several fields of interest.
UMS can provide an overview so that you become comfortable enough to KNOW WHAT QUESTIONS TO ASK NEXT. it's not about them providing exactly everything,,,they are here to get us started, to expand our base, to give us guides, maps, instructions.
we do the rest!
isent that better then someone hanging over your shoulder, telling you waht you should learn and how to think??
i think so!

I downloaded my first classes today, and even though I have been studying different religions all over the world for the past 15 years or so, there were still some things in the material (World Religions Class) that either I hadn't seen before or it's been so long since I've seen it I kind of forgot about it. I think the classes are going to be great for me. I tend to dive into the deeper end of things sometimes and either miss or forget the basics.

I had done a considerable amount of studying before I joined UMS but as they promised I was able to fill in so many 'holes' in my knowledge and understanding. I'm sure will be gain much from your studies.

You are probably very busy with coursework now, but if you get a chance, read some of the older posts, particularly about those that had questions about UMS.
When I downloaded the sample course on religion, I was very impressed with the way that a broad survey of religion could be so detailed and contemplative; particularly the reference material, which gives a panorama of the varieties of religious experience. I'd love to meet the author of the course!
Don't sweat basics, they come naturally. Do dig deep into that which fascinates you, or even frightens you, as knowledge conquers all.
I wish you success far beyond that which your studies at UMS will bring you, and you have opened the door.

I have been done now for a little over 6 months and i still go back and use many courses for reference. I went through everything rather fast and much of it will not be triggered until later when a unique subject is brought up and have all the classes available to you for re-freshening. I found so many of the courses to be so wonderful that i couldn't just pick a favorite. But, what these classes do, will never leave you. It will make you feel a part of something bigger than yourself. Once you feel connected, you will never feel alone again. Every time i get to feeling blue or angry.... i think about my courses and it makes me smile and be at ease again.
UMS has fulfilled my needs and allowed me to be human. It aloud to to accept my flaws, as a learning process of growth. I loved the shadow side and understanding EGO, as well as learning that it's always been my choice to create what i want out of life, eternally.
UMS is one school i will continue to be a part of, even after classes are over. I feel life is never over, but at least while on earth this time around, you bet i will be striving to help others understand how precious they really are.
