Hey everyone, I thought it would be a good idea to have a thread, based soley on those who will be gone away for either a short, or longer time.

This way, we can not feel ignored. :P

Anyway, I am transfering all my data to a new PC and gutting this one. I am puting in a whole new mother board and everything and doing it myself. I am so sorry, but I will most likely be gone for about a week, till i get everything back in order.

So, Happy week everyone, please have a wonderful week, while I am gone.
Blessings~
Jillybean

PS. If i can check my email off the server of another pc, i will.

Very nice idea, Jilly- It is easy to become attached here to each other in my opinion, and is also easy to become concerned about people's absences. No one likes feeling ignored. For Sure!

For me, I am on and off this week quickly as my daughter is here visiting. 7/1-7/7 we are heading to Connecticut for family celebrations....

Good grief woman, don't get caught in mother board land! Best wishes to you, and all.

Danny! Glad you are making your trip. Are you going to do the bike trip? When you are in town, give us a call at the office (707-822-2111) to arrange a time to come in. Only because sometimes we are really busy and we would like to be able to give you attention! We look forward to meeting you.

OK all, it's done. Only two other computers to gut and build. Now that i took out the mother board to my own pc and replaced everything inside, i took my old stuff, and placed it inside my kids pc. But i am taking my kids pc guts, and placing it in another box, so one of my other kids can have an extra pc around. Nothing like making it a HUGE task.

Anyway, PC is up and running. Got me a dual quad 2 pentium chip, with sata hardware, new power supply and 300g harddrive, 2g ram. Oh yeah, new graphics card too. So basically, other than my rom drives, i have a brand new pc, cheaper than i could have bought one with all the goods. I bought everything at Micro Centre and the processor chip was on sale with some other rebates. The entire things was around $500 - YAY! My hubby bought this stuff for my B-day early. (End of July

Thankfully, i know how to do most this stuff.... it's HTML that confuses the heck out of me. I am a hardware person. Wouldn't be able to do much without a manual though. It's those darn pins.... At least electrical engineering school paid off somewhat..... lol

I actually had my pc up and running now for two days. But it took a couple days to get all my software loaded in again. Still not done, but good enough.

Good to be back, sooner than expected.
Blessings~

ha ha ha, we Jilly's are contagious. Like Ivy..... i actually have an ivy tattoo, but i didn't make it poisonous. ha ha  I have a tattoo that is a large stone looking Ankh, with a female lion with wings in the front of the ankh, and ivy all around it, spreading outward. I did the Ankh, because i do feel our souls are never ending, like a circle. Plus, Logan's Run placed a lasting impression in my mind as a kid. LOL The lion, cause I am a LEO, but i made it with wings, because i like to fly. The ivy, because it grows like wildfire and is catchy.

Don't ask.... I have no idea why i rambled on.
It's morning.... lack of sleep here.
Not the morning person at all..... must go back to bed.

Hope you have a wonderful time.

My pc has been giving me lots of problems. Somehow i caught a nasty pc virus. It's pathetic. It wouldn't let me connect to the internet. I am still having problems, so i will be on and off, trying to clear it all up.

Blessings~

yeah, i am still having some problems. I do not know what all the files are that were deleted, due to this virus. But, I may have to format and start over once again. What a pain in the booty, but I have a better anti-virus program now.

I do recommend Avast antivirus home. It's free.... I am for anything free, if it works well. LOL

Blessings~

Oh my, i would hate to lose photos. That really hits hard. I place many of my photo's on yahoo's database now called flickr. It's free and if something happens to my pc, their server has a copy of everything. There are many on-line places that do this. One is also called fotki. While I don't want to promote a bunch of sites. At least you know there are alternatives to keeping your photos and valuable info. Photobucket is one that is popular too.

Also from now on, if you have a cd rom, backing up you data may help too. While i do not always trust that disk's last. I do like using large servers on-line.

I hope you can somehow recover your lost data. I have lost plenty in the past, and it's unreplaceable. ((((((Healing energy is being sent your way))))))

Blessings~
Jill
