CHRISTMAS IN OUR TIME When in difficult times we live As a good example of what it means to have faith; When we try to make sense of the scriptures, And find in them a new understanding of the symbolisms Of the ancient wisdom they contain; When, as a result, we humbly kneel in love and devotion Before the child in the manger and its Holy parents – It’s Christmas in our time.
Whenever someone appears who brings: Renewed hope to our troubled world through A fresh understanding of the meaning of salvation and redemption; Comfort and help to those in despair; When someone acts unselfishly, with justice, integrity, honesty and truth, Without thinking about their own advantage; Feels compassion and enters with love Into another soul’s suffering, The Divine spark in someone’s heart is coming alive, Christ is born on the Earth and It’s Christmas in our time.
When in recognition of their true self, hearts and souls reach out To each other and say: ‘I forgive you!’, The wounds of all lifetimes heal and the soul of our world heals, too; When human beings treat each other with kindness and respect For themselves and each other; When hands reach across all barriers of race, colour, dogma and creed; When souls, knowing that we are all children of the One, Look for that which unites them and forget about What once separated them from each other – It’s Christmas in our time.
When souls endeavour to love faithfully and true, Totally and unconditionally, the way our Creator loves us all, Their love is Divine and of God; When souls understand that God means the Holy Trinity of The Great Father/Mother of all life, Whose only born Son is the Universal Christ. When yet another one grasps that He came into our world in human form, To work and speak to us through the Master Jesus, To teach us all through the example of his life How each one of us is here to save and redeem ourselves, Each other and also our whole world – It’s Christmas in our time.
When in the child in the manger We recognise the great love of our Divine Parents, Who created our world and us, Its earthly children, So that we should learn and grow; When with deep gratitude we feel that their love is now coming alive In every heart, including our own, And we make an effort to share this love wherever and whenever we can, Not just at Yuletide but any day of the year, It’s Christmas in our time.
When, for the people of today, such things happen, In spite of any events in the outer world, Christmas at last becomes the long promised feast of joy; When in the child in the manger we rediscover our own child, Who loves the beautiful old stories and carols all the more, Because we now know that all along they were true; When yet another one of us appreciates that the only thing We and our world ever needed was a fresh understanding Of the ancient tales, then there comes to our world A renewal of faith and appreciation of God’s great wisdom, truth, mercy and love, Another one has woken up and Christ is born in yet another heart, The soul of our world and the Angels in the Heavens rejoice, Because it’s Christmas in our time.
‘A happy Christmas and a blessed time to you all.’

The above is a link to a Christmas card of a very special kind that was sent to me by one of you – thank you so much, dear friend and thank you also for allowing me to share it here, so that everybody can enjoy it. I wish everybody all the joy and happiness in the world at Christmas and the New Year and throughout the year 2008. My grateful thanks goes to God and the Angels for the gift of our friendship and also to those who making this Message Board possible – without it we would not even know about each other; what a pity that would be! God bless you all, each one.

Thanks Aqui.... It reads beautifully in a language that you know far better than I do, and made me stop and think, just how much I miss in life. But, one day, I'll be in Bayreuth, and I hope it will be snowing!
As we (in the States) say, since we wish to offend no one, Happy Holidays, but those of you who know me, know that I don't really care about offending people, so I also say Merry Christmas...which to me commerates the day when a jolly fat guy comes down the chimney and leaves you, among many things, one thing that you really want, even if you don't have a chimney. This guy has been known throughout history by many names...to some, he is Santa Claus...and he is very real. You just have to "believe"! Peace and Buono Natale, Marty and Anticipatory Cats

CHRISTMAS MESSAGE 2007
Everything points in the direction that this year’s Christmas is going to be an extra special one, first because the Sun moved into Sagittarius November 22 and into the next sign, Capricorn, December 22. As the 22 is on the master vibration, this is bound to be of great spiritual significance. Read more about this in the chapter ‘Two Studies in Mastership’ at the end of the Astro Files. Second, there is a full Moon on Christmas Eve and, as you may recall, that is always a time for finding spiritual enlightenment and understanding. Cancer is the opposite sign of Capricorn; hence the full Moon will be taking place in this the Moon’s own sign and that of home, mother and ancestry. Cancer represents the Great Mother of all life, the archetype and the essence of motherhood in all aspects of life. Now, could there be anything more beautiful than this when our world is waiting for a renewed understanding of the birth of the child in the manger? This child is a symbolism for the long promised saviour and redeemer of humankind and its world, the Divine spark that has for aeons been waiting to be reborn and come alive. If we tune into the inflowing Christ energies in our meditations, especially around the time of the full Moon, and request to be used as a channel through which the Great Father/Mother’s blessing and healing can flow into everything that is in our world and all worlds, then that is exactly what will happen. From the Sun’s entry into Sagittarius until it moves into Aquarius 21st January 2008, our world will continue to be influenced by the vibration of the master number 22. If you are ready for what this may wish to bring to our world, you might like to use what now follows, first the affirmation and then the prayer:
Affirmation: God is in me and I am in God; Divine light floods and fills Every atom of my being.
Prayer: Breathe on me, O breath of God; Breathe through me, O breath of God; Blend my whole being with Thine, Until all my earthly parts have been Cleansed and purified by Thy Great fire Divine.
Breathe on us and our world, o breath of God; Breathe through us, o breath of God; Blend all our hearts and souls with Thine, Until all earthly parts of us and our world have been Cleansed and purified by Thy Great fire Divine.
In the name of love I ask this, On behalf of all that is in our world and all worlds; May we all return into perfect re-alignment with Thee.
MEDITATION AND CANDLE BURNING PLAN For the Twelve Holy Nights
Because December contains the festival of Christmas It is a very holy and special month and within it The twelve holy nights represent a particularly hallowed period.
1) The three nights starting with Christmas Eve are the holies of holies. They are a time for receiving and the door to the Angelic Kingdom Stands wide open, inviting us all.
Each of these nights, as you light your candle, Hold in your mind the image of Our planet, the Earth, turning on its own axis in space. Reflect on the fact that every being on this planet is united And an integral part of this Great Life. Bless it and commit yourself to healing it.
2) The following four nights bring us to night seven; They are about understanding the Christ energy Which at this time flows particularly strongly into every heart and soul. It is a time for contemplations and meditations.
Each of these nights, as you light your candle Bring to mind those close to you and whose love Helps to give your own life quality and purpose. During your meditations, hold them in your heart And share your love with them.
3) The remaining five nights bring us to night twelve; They are about grounding the Christ energy. It is a time for making plans, for activity and new beginnings.
Each of these nights, as you light your candle, Review your life and consider which areas of it are in need of changing, Resolve to invest in yourself, to make it more productive and positive.
After this the elemental kingdom is said to take over the energy And its value to the human kingdom is supposed to be spent. Hence the importance of shutting things down on Twelfth Night, But do not forget to persevere with your meditations and efforts, throughout the whole of the coming year. Merry Christmas and a happy and peaceful New Year 2008 to everybody, With Love and Light, Aquarius

Guten Tag, (Gru_ Gott.....I don't have the font to make the letters for our Southern German readers) Ich verstehe, und danke sohn! Bless you and thank you, Marty. May I give you a little tip regarding the Umlaute? You could have copied and pasted the missing letter from my message. No matter, grüss Gott, tritt ein, brich dir ein Bein. Joke! What you are really meant to say is: ‘Grüss Gott, tritt ein, bring Glück herein.’ And that literally translated means: ‘Greet God, come in, bring good fortune with you.’ The joke version says: ‘Greet God, come in and break a leg.’ End of German lesson.
Happy Christmas and make sure you always follow the good advice of the first bit. With love – Aquarius

Very interesting movie on the origin of Christmas celebrations (and Christianity) in part 1. If you don't want to become upset, skip the rest as it will most probably upset you regardless of what views on the issues presented you may have.

Yid ist lo evreet, und welchmerez ist lo gemutlichkite.
I yearn for a time before A.D. 50, or some small piece of understanding from that time.
On the seventh day of Christmas My true-love gave to me, seven swans of swimming. I always thought that song odd. But, this being the seventh day may all of those whom true love has blessed receive swans!
Goodwill to all and apologies for the ridiculous and enigmatic statements,

Dear cause - I am trying to puzzle out the meaning of: ‘Yid ist lo evreet, und welchmerez ist lo gemutlichkit. The following is a stab in the dark:
‚… ist die Wahrheit und Weltschmerz ist die Gemütlichkeit.’ I can’t imagine what ‚yid’ might mean, but without this word the sentence might read:
… is the truth and Weltschmerz – I can’t think of an English word for that one. And come to think of it, there isn’t really one for Gemütlichkeit either! Oh dear, I give up! Please, tell us what it means. With love - Aquarius

Yeah Cause...give it up to us! The Yids, if that is what your Yid refers to, spoke a language which was primarily German, but had words that were definitley not German. In my neighborhood, that I grew up in as a child, we had a wide variety of people, including a wide variety of Jewish people. The Hassidim, who ran the Republic Bagel Company, spoke what I call Yiddish. Oh, what a joy it was to smell the bagels cooking in the morning. But, after we bought our bagels, the kids did not let us hang around "their" neighborhood too long, as we were not of their faith. There was another group of Jewish people, who spoke a romance language, which I later discovered was Romanian. Across the Brooklyn Bridge, is Sammy's Rumanian Style Restaurant, a great place for Eastern European food. They are all Jews there , but Romania is primarily a Christian country...the seat of the Holy Roman Empire. Hence, the romance language, just like Spanish and Italian with a bit of French influence. Very easily understood, if you know any of the romance languages. The Jews, who are the massive customers of the restaurant, speak Yiddish...that strange blend of German and words of an origin that I do not know. It doesn't matter anymore, The Hassids are gone, the bagel company is closed, the neighborhood has been taken over by the Russians, and all the signs and stuff in windows of stores is in the cyrillic alphabet....which I cannot read at all. Not that I ever go there, I haven't been there in years, but I keep in touch with the neghbors of the past. Peace, Marty and Romanian Pisica, Lucky, Poppy and Sissy
