Silly me thought it might be different to have a thread that is fueled by quick, random, jottings about nothing, everything, or anything.

I will start by saying......

Alphred Omega ( ya gotta love that guy, worms and all) posted some interesting stuff concerning Lyme disease...but for the life of me I can't recall under what thread it is.....anybody know?

I used to live in Burton on Trent where they make Marmite .... which is also the home of some of Britain;s best and oldest breweries (before they became homogenised and taken over by corporate conglomerates...) ... and just down the road is Tamworth, capital of ancient Mercia ...

Thanks, you guys. That's my wordpress "blog" in my signature...I mostly use it to keep my favorite links where I can find them. I'm not much of a blogger...haha .My reading site is in the "WWW" box below the signature.

Jill I was looking at your posts earlier and thought I'd add my "credentials" and things like you have done. TY for the inspiration. I think it's helpful if we all know what each other does.

I like the American Tarot Association. I've been a member since 2009 if memory serves correctly. I volunteer at their Free Tarot Network. Every reader there has to go through the mentoring process before they let them read alone(unsupervised). It's just one card readings requested from the general public and they are free. They also have a Free Reading Netwrok which offers 3 card readings to the general public, but I don't do that yet. The price to join the ATA is $25 per year (or less if you sign up for more than one year at a time.) You don't have to be a volunteer reader to join the ATA- it's just one of the things they offer and I quite like doing it. They give you a nice certificate to download to show you are a member, but mainly I agree with their code of ethics and put that on my reading website and have it printed out for when I do in person, face to face readings. There are quite a few benefits to joining the ATA. They send quarterly newsletters and there have been times they have assisted Tarot Readers with difficult issues in the public. They are really trying to bring a good name to Tarot Readers and dispel some of the negativity that is associated with readers due to the scam artists, etc. I don't see a lot of interaction between members, though. I think I went way off topic. If you have any questions about the ATA feel free to ask.

Hello Disa,

I will look into it honestly. I don't care if they want to supervise me first... it just means they don't let just anyone do it, which wasn't my point... ha , i mean those who get on there just to goof off without good intent to really read. I think i will join up. It usually takes someone else i know to be involved for me to actually do it as well, because of the scam stuff, so i am glad you let me know. Good Stuff! I actually teach Tarot and have classes myself and have for years. I have read cards since 80's, when i was a teen. I got serious after i had my kids and drove to take classes. I read very easily... the cards talk to me. I hope to see ya there too.

Yeah, i think utilizing the signature portion is a great idea for those who want to show their metaphysical info, because it is an option for people to not view signatures. So if someone simply doesn't want to see what one is going with their learned skills... just turn off viewing signatures. Solved! My new website is now completely done with wordpress... it wasn't cheap at all and took me a while to get around in it. I felt like i way over payed but i do like it.

I will sign up... you will find me under Mystic Jillee~ and... i have a new website, at which you just reminded me to update my info...
Thanks so much and glad to see ya here.

Jill, your site looks wonderful! Very professional and well done. I was building my own site to encompass all of my services with IPAGE, but it ended up being harder than I expected and I couldn't figure out the shopping cart. People always say you can make a professional looking site with word press, I had considered trying that next. It's the time involved in building it that's my issue, and I don't really have the funds to pay someone else at this time. So, I stick to my free, easy to use things for now.

Thanks, Paul

Oh, great Jill. I will be interested in your opinion. I'm not sure how active they are, but they seem to keep up with what they say they are doing.

Sure, Paul.

I received an email this morning from Christine saying to thank us all for our concern and asking if we would post the link on the forum. I had done it yesterday here. I wasn't able to post in the announcements section- but maybe one of the moderators could do it?

Finished the fourth cup.....and am now pouring the fifth cup.....which is for Elijah the Prophet. Manischewitz is a potent brew; I sure hope Elijah ain't driving tonight.
For those that indulge, may your Passover be spiritually renewing.
Paul-you might know since you dwell in the arcane....I recall Seders where Elijah knocked and the host answered the door----I understand the Ashkenazi and Sephardic(sp?) open the door during seder and sort of let Elijah come on in on his own.

Apologies to the Brits....we have to put up with him cos he's the Prez....but to lecture you guys is a bit much...we, the most powerful and wealthy country in the world should have health care as good as you guys....but it is pathetic and ObamaCare made it even worse.....people who can't afford insurance have to pay a penalty to the gov....if they can't afford the insurance, I wonder how they will pay the penalty????

yeah, Marty... I get pretty flustered at all the extreme BS we are currently dealing with about health care and it's embarrassing to think others think that we actually chose this: We did not. It's rigged, it's been rigged and if I think too much about it, it's depressing. So i try to focus on positive things! Metaphysics~ it works... :P

Chemtrails?????

“If the existence of Nuclear weapons has taught us anything it would simply be that just because we possess powerful technologies, it does not necessarily mean that we should use them. Unfortunately, we are currently on course to learn similarly grave lessons from other devastating technologies such Genetically Modified Foods, Chemtrails and HAARP.”
? Gary Hopkins"

What means more to me.........
"John Hammond: I don't think you're giving us our due credit. Our scientists have done things which nobody's ever done before...

Dr. Ian Malcolm: Yeah, yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn't stop to think if they should. - Jurassic Park

I am not mounting the fence about chemtrails......I need a lot lot lot lot more evidence......

But, electromagnetic waves, aka micro waves...........OHMYGOD......I can't find my phone........have you experienced the panic that occurs in a great many people when you don't have the device firmly in hand
......its not that they are expecting a call, it is the subliminal electromagnetic comfort zone that the device radiates.

I SEE the difference this has on us......metaphysical folks should have some insight on this.

I often hope I can never find my phone :P

Do you get the impression it's the same thing as micro-chipping your pet? The cell phones are not "physically implanted' into our necks or heads by those that should protect us, but rather, something worse. They are devices "foreign objects" we [willingly] allowed into our very being and now EVERYTHING is "in the cloud"....

I married Isis on the fifth day of May......

Isis oh Isis you're a mystical child.
What drives me to you is what drives me insane.
I still can remember the way that you smiled,

FREE AT LAST! The book has all good intention; but is a bit repetitious; and, to some degree, flawed. It is also free if you want it.

...was eating mussels in Linguine Adriatico and thought of Squeeze...though my favorite song (Pauly might be familiar with it) goes:

If I didn't love you, I'd hate you
I'm playing your stereogram
Singles remind me of kisses
Albums remind me of plans
Tonight it's love by the fire
The wind plays over the coals
Passionate looks are my fancy
But you turn the look into stone

Squeeze - If I Didn't Love You

When two people become so entwined in life and love they remain that way forever...no matter what the trajectory of time holds. This is a true principle of quantum mechanics.

Hi Fellow Metaphysical Types,
Has anyone done any looking into protein VMAT2 and gene parent SLC18A2. While it might or might not be the "God" gene, some research has suggested it is the mechanism of mysticism and paranormal abilities. Anybody?

I've been so busy with other stuff, i have not heard much about it. I do know USA is not the first on the moon. Russia was, 7 yrs prior. Shhhhh, i don't know why is a big deal that it has been kept secret. Who cares.... they made it to the moon. Ahhhhh, wait...... What they don't want everyone to know is. .... the moon is being used as a storage center holding neuclear weapons that can be detinated from Earth.

Why is man so destructive?

Hiya Jillsie,
Don't know much about Mel's Hole other than they could not find the guy who originally broadcast the scoop. That, in and of itself, is a bit perplexing. Since then, I heard it is pretty much discredited....which leads me to wonder what happened to that guy??
Could it be another cover up?

Not heard of this at all ...

Though I saw of late lots of holes opening in Siberia and elsewhere - possibly evidence of Earth-shift or pole shift [or 'hollow earth'?]? In previous ages it could have been said to have been faeries or demons ...maybe?

Or indeed a gravitational pull from the conjectured Nibiru that may or may not be out there that may or may not be being covered up by NASA?

Not sure of the evidence that the then USSR landed on the Moon (some even question if the USA did too; but 7 years before would have been around 1962) - would have been difficult I imagine to safely enough land H bombs there from here ... but am open to be convinced with any evidence ....

As for radio waves from another star ... DRAT! Are we even having our brains fried extra-terrestrially ... or is it just a flickering as planets move .... we are stardust and in that sense extra=terrestrial, bur I fear we have to prosaically find our own destinies here on this wonderful blue and possibly unique world, or find the way to take off and potentially ruin another after years of harsh cosmic endurance ... or bilocate like Yogananda

The good news. ... NASA has opened all there data, discoveries and everything. .... is now made public. This just happened this year. We have a large NASA base here next to Cleveland Hopkins Airport. It's now open to public. I think that is great!

Mels hole wasn't just a hole. .... it was i perfect circle, bottomless. They could never fond a bottom and it canceled out noise inside and above it. You couldn't scream into it, no echo. Like it has no air. They tested a bag of ice inside it that wouldn't melt, even after pulling it back out. Master of fact, they still to this day have it burning. They tried to melt it but it caught fire and never could be put out. Government came and took it away. Most likely used for fuel of some sort. ... space travel is my guess.

I don't know much more because i only just recently learned of these things. No chance yet to dig deeper. I'm sure if i find more, I'll post!

The second one is more along the lines of the video i watched. It has more of the footage and tests that they did to try to find a bottom. Never did. Who knows what happened to it, but i would imagine horrific things thrown in there.

Hi Guys,
I am here because of a nice lady named Tracey Martin, whom I owe thanks for opening my eyes to a group of folks who tend to share some of my beliefs when it comes to esoteric and metaphysical matters.
I think everyone who remains here on the public board is far more metaphysically inclined than I am......my having completed one course in a great many years.....but I have every intention of getting the PhD, which I remitted
tuition for many years ago. I guess I am a slow learner.
A certain person indirectly identified a "core" group on this hallowed board....and we are Paul, DocJ, Diss, and yours truly.
I have always hoped that those who post for access to the student section would wade, shimmy, or jump right in to the public board discussions. That has not happened.
Since autumn is a time of reflection, let me ask if you all think we are somehow apart from others and destined to meet in venues such as this?
I dunno, I think that the majority of folks would scoff at some of the things "we" write......but I find much of what we say perfectly plausible and most likely true.

My basic question is where do we see ourselves and where do we go from here? I am starting another thread, which I hope will prompt new insights.

Peas and Tranquillity

Marty, the road from here is whatever you want it to be. I am not sure why the board has not become more known, but it's not exactly advertised either. Matter of fact, i didn't realize the board existed til after i had finished my phd here. I would have loved to discuss topics prior to test time, but i flew right threw them all and even wrote my dissertation and thesis like it was already written. .... it flew out easily. Not sure things would flow so easily now, but i had already a lot of knowledge from a different school (which i liked). I love the interaction between students here. It's because of the classes that we all can get along so well. Only metaphysical people will understand our unique view points. So many of us like minded people out there, but are unreached.

I do worry this board won't last, but it is still active thankfully! I do consider you all my meta family. It would be great to see more photos and really see who we are talking to, even though it wouldn't make a difference.

Evening Jill .. funny, I also did not come across the Board until I had completed the course/studies .. was so focused on them that the Board did not pass my radar ..

But is is nice and touching that we can meet all as kindred spirits here, though many thousands of miles apart ...

Oh Boys and Girls......came across this......
via Nexus Magazine, a dude is offering EMF protection!!!!!!!! This protection starts at $359 USD and you can get more and more protection up to $999 USD but I guess you can't get anymore protection than that even if you had beyond a cool thou' to spend.
I must confess that I read Nexus and listen to some casts and webbynars. I am thinking of a print subscription which is not that expensive. HOWEVER, I would caution anyone who would consider buying "EMF protection" to think it through carefully and to be well versed in what EMF is and does...most of all how it works. I am sure you would then decide that $359 to $999 is better spent on a trinket or a much needed root canal, but certainly not EMF protection.

Hoping you all Giga till it Hertz,
Marty

It is all kind of moot. I found the nematode entity can communicate by touching water through a scalar wave process also used for secret submarine communications. It explains why salmon return to the place of their birth to spawn; They are "pinged" from here to the ocean where they reside. There is a large shy Loch Ness monster type nematode here called an Ogopogo by the natives. It has an incredible mastery of the physics of our universe. This is handy for another thing I am working on with Fukushima. Metaphysical Engineering is truly a can of worms, and they populate every man woman and child on the planet. No EMF protection will work without a ground wire, by the way. Look up Faraday Cage. I would worry more about a Carrington Event from a solar flare.

Hi all,
I am having a big problem.....contrary to many comparative religion writings which embrace Islam, having re-gazed at the Koran, I see a totally different Islam. And, I am slowly coming to believe that it is not in the best interest of other religions to engage Islam.
As far as my religion goes, we are far above and away removed from this....but Christians seem to be very involved in it and, it seems to me, rightly so. Moreover, this causes major conflicts in all avenues of existence.
I am wondering how our community feels..................

So sorry I missed the earlier postings on this tread ... as for Marty's latest, I wonder which parts of the Koran you have in mind?

Problematically there seem to be good and bad bits in all the core religious texts (except perhaps the Tao Te Ching) - which is one reason why I was never fully wholly able to commit to one, but have found something of a spiritual home here with UMS ... also why I 'like' "our" blending spirit with psychotherapy and healing...

Frithjof Schuon had this idea of esoteric (where all spiritual teaching comes together) and exoteric (the visible literal bits of scriptures that often seem to disagree and cause problems), which I find very helpful.

Doesn't both Christianity and Islam have their 'evangelical' side, which promotes the uniqueness of each of their Ways, and it is this that has caused so called 'holy war'?
(whereas any 'holy war' takes place within each individual in their/our confrontation with the Unconscious ..)

One of my favourite quotes in this respect is, "Abandon all varieties of religion and surrender unto Me" - although without checking I cannot remember offhand which source that comes from, I think possibly Vedic

Love All (well mostly)

Paul

ps, my wrist getting much better, thanks for the remote Reiki Disa and Jill!

From later: I was nearly right - but how could I have forgotten!? - the quote above is from the Bhagavad Gita

Hi Paul,
Sorry to take so long to reply.
Agreed....the Bible is just as full of bad stuff as is the Koran, and the scale only tips if you consider that a major portion of the Koran is supposedly authored by a warlord of very ill repute.
But, even the Westboro Baptist Church and the nut-cases that follow them do not kill fags even though they condemn them to hellfire and brimstone and other hot stuff based on their interpretation of the Bible.
In the Muslim schools, the male kids are taught the Koran and not much else. My dilemma of mind and soul starts at this point. The Koran is quite and undeniably specific as to what should be done to gay people.
The kids, dutifully doing as taught, drag the fags up to the top of high edifices and toss them off. This is OKAY! The Koran says so!
I have got a big problem with that.
Is it any wonder to anyone why there is such a backlash towards Islam? Police burn in hell, UK go to hell in Luton...or was it Brixton...lemme find the girl in the red dress....here we go......
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SK7To4gSr0
What really got me was the girl knew something of the Koran and the Muslim dude lied..........

Hello Fellow Metabicycled Minded Folks........
This week, I have been upended and turned topsy turvey in sympathy with Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve, who spun in the grave at the thing that was done to the beloved "Beauty and the Beast." In my humble opinion, the story does not need to be rewritten to enfranchise a segment of our fellow humans who are of a non traditional sexual orientation.
If Disney really wants to make a statement, then why don't they condemn the Mohammedans who throw gays off the top of roofs.
But, NO, they would never do that for fear that telling a truth is now considered to be a phobic reaction to a particular religion, as good or as bad as it might be.

A Salaam Aleicum,
Marty

Greetings to you all,
I think the prez of Turkey stated the agenda of the Mohammedans quite succinctly and I notice the Western press has barely mentioned it. I wondered why for a few seconds and then I stopped. As readers of this board may or may not know, I am a Gnostic Catholic who practices the Roman Rite whenever I feel like it and could care less how the Pope feels about that, much less the Patriarch. I read the Bible when I have to and recognize it is a literary work that has its ups and downs. I also read the Koran and know that it is also a literary work with a significant portion devoted to a prophet whom we call Mohammed and not to the word of Allah.
When I find something threatening to me as a spiritual being simply because I am not an adherent and practitioner of a belief, then I have a difficult time showing any sympathy towards any, even those who expose more moderate expressions of their religion of dominance.
To me, it is an age old dilemma, you are marching peacefully along, and then people start shooting at you.....except they have got women and children in front of them. If you don't shoot back you die, if you do shoot back the people shooting at you die, but the women and children also die. When do we defend ourselves even though it might be unpleasant and ugly to do so?

Peace IS the Way,
Marty

I agree. ... war period is ugly and only about ego and greed. I will defend myself and my family, or die in the process, but if i can help it, we will all have peace, even if we have to move into a new dimention to do it. Religion is a personal and private preference, same as sex. Non of nobody else's business!

Hi Wall Writers:
"One plus one equals two. That's all we've learned, but one plus one has never equaled two."- words uttered by Scarlett Johansson in the role of Lucy in the flick called Lucy. If ya got nothing to do, it is a very interesting movie...the science is a bit lacking, but the themes are dyn-O-mite!
And, I agree with the quote.......as we now see to be true in our age of facts and alternative facts and alternatives to the alternative facts........................

I never heard of Lucy the movie ... so what does 1 + 1 = through the Lucy lens ...?

??

The Tao begets one;
one begets two;
two begets three;
three begets the myriad creatures
(Ch 42, verse 1 Tao te Ching)

Although in relation to human relations I can see also another perspective ...?

Hello to Paul and Disa!

Actually Paul, your question " so what does 1 + 1 = " in a way, IS the answer.

And, here is the answer from Lucy: "Humans consider themselves unique so they've rooted their whole theory of existence on their uniqueness. One is their unit of measure, but it's not. All social systems we've put into place are a mere sketch. One plus one equals two. That's all we've learned, but one plus one has never equaled two. There are, in fact, no numbers and no letters. We've codified our existence to bring it down to human size to make it comprehensible. We've created a scale so that we can forget its unfathomable scale."

Mesmerizingly yours,
Marty

Thanks Marty for clarifying

Brings me back to someone I quoted here before, Rene Guenon, who many years ago wrote a book called, The Reign of Quantity, which he argued, is the prevailing mythos of our time (and which will be our undoing as a civilization), as opposed to the 'reign of quality', which is the time and realm of spirituality-metaphysics

Hmmmmmmmm........
No outpouring of sympathy for those who were killed because they like Ariana Grande and have no clue as to the beliefs of those who follow the warlord prophet?
Though, it is not something that hasn't been done before......the Japanese Imperial Army in Nanking, China comes to mind as does the Russian push into Berlin, Germany.
However, in certain cultures, the maltreatment and abuse of children, be they boy or girl, is part and parcel of ordained religious belief. And, I am being asked to understand, accept and be sensitive to this so that I might not be
offensive to such cultures. Well!
My heart goes out to those who thought they might have the night of their lives seeing their idol sing her songs that they know by heart. They are no longer with us since they are dead to us.
As a historian first and foremost, the true story of Mohammed (no matter how you spell it) is not that great. Why he should be such a revered prophet (to the extent that to portray him in a bad light gets you killed) is beyond me!
Mohammed, merchant of death???? Yes???? No???????????

Hi Marty

I kept staring at the Board here after the Manchester Massacre of the Innocent, on several occasions, but could think of nothing apt to post that could capture the depth of horror or depravity of such an act, and also though on of other not dissimilar assaults on those underserving by those deeply as unworthy, as are echoed in your post.

So I kept silent.

Political campaigning ongoing here and elsewhere in the world .... just seems to magnify the horror and difficulty of the 'foolishness of God', or goodness, set against the overpowering sense of the power of evil.

All indeed might be illusion, which is perhaps the best way to gird ourselves for the continuing daily struggle as we go about our business, whatever it is, and keep the little light of holiness lit as the winds of darkness storm around it.

All power to Ariana Grande and now I hear Liam Gallagher in donating concert funds to the Manchester fund too.

Love to all

Yet but how good and sweet - and dare I say, Holy? - it is that all those 'pop star' personages, including Ariana herself (who did a surprise visit to children survivors in hospital today) have returned to Manchester this weekend to perform in a charity event ... Mazel Tov to them and everyone reading these words ....

OMG-again!
The light needs to expose the true nature of things. Each time the light comes close to illuminating the good, the bad, and the very ugly.....we shade the light in the fear that we may offend those that are bad and are very ugly.
We need to come to terms with the truth. There is a faith that, as a fundamental pillar, promulgates the practice of jihad. "al-jihad fi sabil Allah"
In whatever way we choose to accept the truth, we do need to stop all the excuses and apologies.

One way is to accept the way of the prophet to avoid further murders.....but if we do that, this discussion board, this school and this church exist no more!

More prayers for the new victims of faith in action,
Marty

Hi Marty - long time since Boarding contemporaneously! .... Agree with you, as nearly always ... I had always understood true 'jihad' in the mystical tradition was the very subtle 'war with oneself' and against spiritual sleep .... but this current crop of terrorist non-scholars, no-hopers and cowards lack any subtlety and fulfill only the way of ignorance and hatred ... though dealing and responding to it all is hard
blessings to us all

HUGE NAMASTE to Ariana Grande and her musical colleagues for the One Love concert in and for Manchester yesterday.

It was a stunning and very moving event, totally inspirational and a voice (voices!) of LOVE and LIGHT against any forces of darkness and hate.

Thank you Ariana for organising the event, commendation and praise for your courage in returning to what must have been a traumatic location, and high praise too for all the concert-goers who returned to support.

At the end of every day, the light diminishes - but does not go out: for the sun always rises, even if sometimes we cannot see it

Love and blessings everyone

One must go into the dark to see the smallest of light..... Never fear the dark. We cannot fail. There is simply no such thing. I also will never place my faith in only one such prophet, because my own truth is that we are all prophets, all one, all with purpose. What is bad to one is good to another and vice versa. Love is the way...... The total answer. I love you all!

Hallo All Everywhere:
Ya know, the slaves would have been freed in the mid-late 1830's had we remained a colony of Britain (sorry, no UK then). But, I LOVE the USA even with all it's faults though I'd really like to have that splendid house I found in Niagra, Ontario....where, even though British, they drive on the right side of the road in defiance.
Any diety you want BLESS US....here, there, and everywhere.

P.S. As is my sometimes tradition, I will post a patriotic song in Stochastical Musciale, in the hope that the medium might be the message. And this one WILL appeal to the Trumpeters and the non-Trumpeters alike.

Peace and Love,
Marty

OMG.....didn't realize that my membership in SPR had lapsed.....wondered why I wasn't getting any journals? Renewed, so I am in good stead in Londontown.
Watched the Scole Experiments and thought the production overdone to enhance what is good evidence.
As historic board members know, I have my own ideas with regard to time; and share a Catholic (mostly Roman) view of life after death.....we believe in resurrection, NOT reincarnation.
I think the Scole experiments pretty much offer evidence that supports my belief.
If you ever do peek at us, deal with it Aqua!!

Peace from the Exponential Universe,

Hi Marty

Nice to see you around ... is SPR the Society for Psychical Research? I was lucky enough to have a short article published in their journal Light several years ago when the foot and mouth disease was raging here ...

Do not know what are the Scole Experiments though ... as for resurrection/reincarnaton, will reflect on that in your other relevant post ...

Hello Paul and those who have an hour plus to spare, here is a link to the Scole experiments:

https://youtu.be/5vG8j9MvOQA

Now, I know suspicions will be aroused as the production values are over the top......but if you show the solid, yet unexciting, evidence just as it happens, folks would be bored after the first five minutes of programme and would turn the telly off....which is a no-no in Britishland.
Also, there will be the cynical cynics who will question this. And, they will also question Celebrity Big Brother.........and well they should.....I mean, you've got Derek Acorah in the house so why isn't he telling everybody what's going to happen? Here, I agree with the cynics and understand that Derek is first, and foremost, an entertainer. I understand that Dynamo does not walk on the Thames River. BUT, recognizing that he does not do it, is not to say that he could not do it.
So we arrive back at the most telling line I have ever heard and that has stuck with me and challenged me to see (what, I do not know).

"One plus one equals two. That's all we've learned, but one plus one has never equaled two." (And, I remember that Absy used to write that one plus one equals...........................two!)

Hope you all enjoy the lovable Scolesters,

Take it...another little piece of my heart,
Marty (and Janis Joplin)

Hi Marty

Thanks for heads up on the Scole ... dipped into the video and one question always comes to mind when photographs of the dead are offered up: our face alters over time - so which version of any of our faces will exist on the Other Side? I guess we might be given the option of choosing.

I might add, I have consulted mediums in the past and had some interesting experiences

Scolastically yours

Hi Paul,
It is very hard to explain in words or equations.....but time is not what we commonly believe it to be or what Einstein said it is. Our faces change as moments pass or intervals pass, but the face in, say, a photograph exists in another moment or interval of time. The moment that the photograph captured and holds so that any can see no matter the time is still someplace...it does not disappear into thin air or thin nothingness. You are as alive in that photograph now as the day it was taken. If you could somehow shake the bonds of the thought that time is a relentless passage and not a constant, you could be in that photograph now as you where then.
The communication from those who no longer are active participants in our time intervals or moments (if you prefer), have time. But their time is probably the more correct understanding of time for they are no longer under the illusion that time is somehow finite and fatal.

Hi to other readers (and, again Paul):
Paul mentioned that he has consulted mediums. I would be very interested in his experiences and the experience of any others in our family who have done that.
I make a habit of seeing clairvoyants/spiritualists/fortune tellers/gypsies and not one single person told me anything that anyone of us could not have also told me. HOWEVER, I have had a "religious experience" in the words of William James, so I KNOW that there is communication from somewhere other than this place, and perhaps this dimension.

P.S. The gypsies, whom you would think would be very good at this kind of stuff, usually were so far off that it was laughable.....even they had to laugh at how wrong they were.

Peace Over Troubled Waters, from the far reaches of the universe,
Marty

Thanks for heads up on Louise, Marty - maybe she might keep in touch

As for my consultations with mediums, they were lovely folk, but my interpretations of what they said on each occasion were ambiguous and still unresolved

Hi Paul,
I, for one, hope she does keep in touch....and she probably will. But, will we ever have any convincing evidence of it? I'll give it a day or two before the Internet netcases (oops, a misspelling of what I meant to say) take over and claim all sorts of things. It wont be long before we have Hay House Radio FTOS. (From the Other Side).

Paul, look at the other question this way........many accept a Hebrew Mau Mau Indian Egyptian Chariot Driver speaking to us via a channeler about all sorts of things that the spirit guide could not even remotely know anything about, and we flock around these channelers like moths around a flame. But, let a medium say something, which is usually highly personal, and presto! There is tremendous doubt and anxiety. Life is full of ambiguity in message and meaning. There is no reason to think that next life, after life, rebirth, reincarnation or resurrection are not also fraught with ambiguity.
In the same vein, resolution only comes from within. If a dilemma is constantly debated and fought over there will be no peace. Resolution and peace come from the faith that you have in distilling and discerning the truth, which you may or may not like, but need to accept.

Best and Love,
Marty

Hi again Paul and viewers of WOTW (Write On the Wall),
Are there no graffiti artists in our motley crew? I was hoping some manic metaphysicians would tag the wall besides me and Pauly.............story of my life.....my hopes are never fulfilled!

Back on point-Paul, no more insight and understanding then the next person but a concentrated series of events and experiences that confirms faith.

If I may, very short and sweet......there was a very well known Episcopalian bishop ( head of the entire church in the USA ) named James Pike, Right Reverend. His son committed suicide and Rev Pike could not fathom the act or imagine a reason.
He became interested in psychic phenomena, most particularly mediumship. (And, I bet the UMS'ers cringe at that, and prefer their medieval servant girl touched by an angel spirit guide that they can channel.) Anyway, he did, indeed, talk to his son across the veil that separates us from "The Other Side" (the name of the book he wrote).
Here is the truth....he did not get the explanations he wanted nor the comfort he sought. He did not get absolution or resolution. He did not get insight or enlightenment. What he got was far more precious......and that is the knowledge that his son lived on after his "death" on this plane. He got the knowledge that there is LIFE after the event we call (and dread for no reason) death.

Peace here, there, and everywhere,
Marty

Well now....I ain't never been good at math....but if you do the math a certain way, at Planck length distances, a particle can travel back in time. So, it would stand to reason that in quantized space-time, at each Planck length interval of travel, a photon goes BOTH forward and backward in time. If the photon no longer goes forward (say it meets some target), its state is then determined. The determination is then carried by the photon backwards in time, retracing its route, to influence its state at inception AND perception by an observer.
This always leads back to my understanding or misunderstanding of time.

2 + 2 has never equaled 4,

Bravo Paul! A good point.
We know that paired electrons, if separated, and traveling through space-time, ALWAYS maintain their orientation to each other, no matter how far away from each other they are. The question is how do they know what state each is in and how do they communicate what adjustment is necessary to maintain the natal orientation?
My belief is that they are each cognizant of itself, AND aware of the other. By mutual agreement, the orientation continues.
So, my humble answer is yes, the electrons as well as the photons are indeed conscious, in a sense that we are not capable of understanding (but one which we seek when we do things like be part of UMS).

That's a really remarkable article and set of findings, how closely they connect - dare I say resonate?! - with the core concept of our living in a vibrational uni/multiverse ... quite a comforter really, on so many levels ... to say nothing of that empty space thay science also seems to have discovered at the heart of the universe and cannot yet explain (although I note that the Maya spotted a black hole at the centre of the Milky Way before ever Western astronomers did)

Good article...thanks Big O!

A belated Happy Thanksgiving to my American compatriots,

Still, with all the focus on quantum mechanics, there is an open, wild. frontier to explore...and that is "time" If things can react across space-time instantaneously, then time simply cannot be as Einstein said it is. Time is actually peculiar energy that exists at all times and in all places,

Hi all,
As Michaelmas draws to a close and we anticipate Hilary, it is time to think of Yuletide stuff...including British Christmas Adverts!
Many disappointments this year, and much controversy, particularly over Sainsbury (who owned years 2014 and 2015). I will write on the wall what I think is the best this year. BTW, the best is decided by how many tissues I go through while watching the commercial.
If you have never experienced Brit Christmas tv advertisements, do so on You Tube. Once again, the Brits beat us Yanks hands down. The xmas-y McDonalds and the Budweiser Clydesdales just are not as good, and I don't waste a single Kleenex on them.

Happy Holly-daz,

Hi everyone.

I've come out of hiding temporarily to read the boards a little. Trying to gain momentum, yet again to do my dissertation. I want to do it, I want it done, but oy it's intimidating to me.

I still wish the boards were more active regarding the work students do here, at each stage....

I've just read this article and I find the concepts resonate. I actually thought when I first enrolled at UMS we would be studying more things like this.

Hi again Disa

Yes, bit like wading through treacle between the floorboards hereabouts of late .. I thought that article was very interesting too ... just before Christmas I think I posted an old-ish journal article of mine about Santa Claus and spiritual significance thereof, but nobody came back to me about it .... ho hum ...

Someone also said before sites like Fb had taken the place of the Board ... given recent events, I am glad I did not sign up ... off to complete dinner now ( 18:40 in UK, and clocks go forward tonight ...

Hallo Mates!
I took a little looky-loo at the Easter thread, lo and behold, it reflects the weather we had for Easter-a bit on the frozen side.

Personally speaking, I do not see what the hub-bub is all about?? The very few of us who participate in this board know the peeps involved very well (ha ha-I snuck in an Easter joke) We know the argot and patois that is like a signature to every post. At a time when participation is the low end of single digits, any participation (as long as the participant adheres to the rules of the board) might be welcome.

Just sayin..........

Peaceover and Popovers on a Sunday morning,
