Posted 8/6/2013 1:34 PM (#24099) Subject: The War Against Forum Spam
The moderators have alerted me to an ongoing problem with spam here on our forums. You can help. Whenever you see an inappropriate post (i.e., a Nike advertisement), please click the [! Alert] button on that post. That will bring the post to a moderator's attention so that we can remove the advertisement and ban the user.

All new posts will be moderated from this point forward. Trusted users only will be given permission to post without moderator approval.
As of this time, everyone has been set to moderated status. This is to immediately block all spammers. The first time those of you who are known to the moderators post, your post will be approved and you will be given permission to post without further moderator approval.
Sorry for this inconvenience, but I hope you understand it will work out for the best of all concerned.
A warning to spammers:
Our toleration policy has been set to ZERO for all spam and unwelcome content anywhere on this board. This includes advertising*. All posts future posts will be placed in a moderator queue for approval, except posts from users and members trusted over time. All spam will be deleted without warning. Any account spamming may be deleted also without warning.
We have asked nicely, to no avail, that spamming be stopped. Now we are taking stronger measures.
_______________ *Advertising - to our trusted alumni, students, and guests: you may certainly reference your own websites and even talk about your own products and services, as long as they relate to the spiritual purpose for which this board was designed. All such posts will, however, be watched by moderators, and we ask that you post within guidelines or ask a moderator if you have questions.
