Starlight Mountain Retreat

We are now building our own retreat center called Starlight Mountain Retreat in Grass Valley, CA. It is approximately 2 and 1/2 hours from San Francisco, CA, 1 and 1/2 hours from Sacramento, CA, and an hour from Reno, Nevada. We have purchased 20 gorgeous acres overlooking the mountains, and it is within walking distance to Bear River out the back of our property. During the summer of 2008 beginning in July, we are putting in cabins, gardens, water features and tent platforms and remodeling the present buildings to facilitate classes, a dining hall and a kitchen.

Starlight Mountain Retreat provides University of Metaphysical Sciences with a California Campus close enough to three international airports to facilitate our many students who have been asking us for years to create a place where they can come and learn in person in live classes about everything University of Metaphysical Sciences has to offer. Now the time has come to manifest it!

Come be part of something special! We invite you to come and do our karma work exchange program. Only 25 hours per week includes camping, mostly organic food and a special opportunity to attend daily meditation classes with Christine Breese, founder of UMS. Any time worked over 25 hours gives you a chance to earn tuition credit at UMS. Approximately 20 work exchange positions are open to work with staff to birth this beautiful land into being ready to facilitate retreats year round.

Double Your Retreat Money Advances

If you don't have a lot of money, but you would love to come and retreat with us, then maybe you might be interested in paying ahead for your retreat for double the bang for your buck! For the year of 2008, we are offering double your retreat money if you would like to pay ahead now. All it would take is 900 people with a thousand dollars to pay off the land, or 1800 people with $500. Then it would be interest free and save everyone a lot of money that just goes to the banks.

You can pay as little as $250, which is usually the cost of a weekend workshop, and get $500 credit, two workshops for the price of one. If you are interested please contact our office and we will arrange it for you. You will receive a voucher and you can use it anytime you like for the next 5 years starting with our New Year's Celebration and grand opening, Jan 2-4, 2009 which will be our first retreat offered to the public. We will be offering many retreats with various staff members of University of Metaphysical Sciences, and we will also be offering sustainable living workshops as well.

Looking For Low Interest Loans And Grants

University of Metaphysical Sciences has taken on a very large loan in order to create this reality. If you are interested in helping us keep the interest level down on the payments, we would be so grateful if you were interested in helping us. We are looking for low interest loans or grants from people who are wealthy enough to spare it and believe in what we are doing and want to help others grow in their spiritual path.

We care a lot about people who are poor so we don't charge a lot for our offerings compared to what we could charge people to go through our school, but that means that we don't have a lot of financial resources available to create projects like this. So if you were interested in helping us pay down the loan, it would save us about $60,000 a year in interest! If you are interested, please contact our office and let us know what you would like to arrange. Universal Church of Metaphysics 501(c)3, the parent company of both University Of Metaphysical Sciences and Starlight Mountain Retreat, is a non-profit organization and will be able to give you proof of your charitable acts.
