UMS Fall Retreat

Breitenbush Hot Springs, Deepening Realization of Self
Oct. 14-18, 2007, Detroit, Oregon 5 day retreat, $295 + housing

This five day retreat is for a small group of 22 people only and is a rare opportunity to spend time in close contact with Christine Breese, D.D., Ph.D., founder of University of Metaphysical Sciences. To see who Christine Breese is, feel free to visit http://www.youtube.com/MetaphysicalSciences to watch some of her free video satsangs.

This retreat is focused on helping the participant to deepen the experience of enlightenment. Most people who are interested in spirituality have had glimpses of enlightened states of mind, moments of pure awareness, and peak spiritual experiences that come and go. This retreat focuses on finding what does not come and go, the enlightenment that is the constant state of the true self that is beyond the human identity. Rather than going back and forth between enlightened states and sleep states constantly, in these four days of retreat you will find out how to stay aware at all times.

Breitenbush Hot Springs is a wonderful place to be in retreat. You will have full use of all the facilities on the grounds, including wonderful hot springs in beautiful natural settings. There are also yoga classes and such that you are welcome to participate in during open times in the schedule. The schedule of meetings with Christine includes meditations, discussions and group activities beginning on Sunday evening and continuing through Thursday morning. Each day there is a morning meeting, afternoon meeting, and evening meeting. Come and enjoy Breitenbush! It is a beautiful place to be! It is not far from Portland international airport, and it is easy to get to.

Breitenbush Hotsprings will provide a perfect setting for this retreat. From their website:
“Breitenbush Retreat and Conference Center is a worker-owned cooperative and intentional community on 154 acres of wildlife sanctuary in the Willamette National Forest of the Oregon Cascades. Our Mission is to provide a safe and potent environment where people can renew and evolve in ways they never imagined.”

Breitenbush Features:

• And Much More!
Check out their website at www.breitenbush.com for more information and pictures of the grounds.

Check-in and Check-out times
This retreat will begin with check-in at 4:00 pm on Sunday, October 14th, and we will then gather for dinner at 6:00 pm. Please be sure to check-in by 5:30, so that we can all enjoy dinner together and be ready for our first scheduled meditation after dinner. Check-out time will be 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 18th, and everyone is welcome to enjoy the facilities until 3:00 pm.

Meals
Delicious organic vegetarian meals will be provided by the Breitenbush staff for all mealtimes within the scheduled retreat days. This includes Dinner on Sunday, and Breakfast and Lunch on Thursday. Please feel free to bring your own snacks and meal supplements as well. If you would like to eat meat, Breitenbush asks that you please bring your own dishes and utensils for this purpose, and consume these foods in your own room or tent.

Student Discount
We are offering a discount on retreats for students of UMS, as well as their friends and family. We want to offer these retreats to anyone who feels drawn to attend, and offer them at an affordable price for everyone. For Students, the retreat is $295, for Non-students, the retreat is $325. Thank you to all registrants for making these events possible!
